While these three states continue to dominate the industry, their overall share has dropped 5.13%, indicating a spreading out of industry jobs to other states around the country.
The report also found that remote jobs, positions where the employee works primarily out of the office, are starting to decline as employees are needed on-site more often, dropping from 29.79% to 17.34% this year. The UK and Germany also saw small declines of 0.57% and 0.48% respectively in their job percentage share. Canada itself made some rather large gains, doubling its size from 2.13% to 4.61%.

The 35-44 and 45+ age brackets also saw small increases of 1.54% and 0.71% respectively, though it was the 18-24 age bracket that saw a sharp drop of 10.18% from the first half of 2018, as it dropped from 46.95% to 36.77% of applicants.

We’re grateful to be able to play our part in this by providing job seekers with a definitive list of esports jobs, and employers with talented staff.
