ePremier League is Coming Back for its Second Season

FIFA 20 is out, and so is the second season of its esports iteration, the so-called ePremier League. The prestigious esports event organized by the English Premier League and Electronic Arts kicks off in early November. Just like last year, it will feature a whole bunch of UK-based gamers ready to lead their favorite Premier League teams to esports glory. ePremier League 2019 is the name, and let’s check out what sort of a competition it brings forth this time around!

ePremier League 2019 | FIFA 20 Mayhem Begins Soon

Just recently, Electronic Arts and English Premier League proudly announced the second season of their esports league iteration, dubbed as ePremier League 2019. As stated above, ePL is set to feature a whole heap of UK-based players to show their FIFA 20 expertise and support their favorite clubs. To be more precise, ePremier League 2019 will feature 160 players per console (both PS4 and Xbox One are on the line), 40 of which will find their way into the Finals.

Best of all, ePremier League performances count towards EA Sports FIFA 20 Global Series, which is yet another reason for these highly skilled FIFA 20 players to perform at their peak levels. Need I remind you, FIFA 19 Global Series was a massive event with $250,000 on the line. The Finals were hosted in Berlin and featured both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One competitors. Nicolas99fc took the PS4 trophy while Stokes conquered the Xbox One rankings.

ePremier League 2019 | Key Dates

Initial Registrations – November 4th
Online Qualifications – December 2nd – 22nd
Club-based Playoffs – February 2020
ePremier League 2019 Finals – March 27th – 28th 2020

The best player in the initial ePremier League season (2018/2019) was Donovan “Tekkz” Hunt, who represented his beloved Liverpool in the grand finals hosted in London. The inaugural ePremier League season was a huge thing in the UK, with Sky Sports doing live coverage of the finals. In addition to Sky Sports and Premier League Facebook page, the event was also available on EA Sports’ FIFA Twitch channel.

FIFA 20 | State of the Game

The biggest issue I see with the ePremier League 2019 is the current state of FIFA 20. As you all know, the game is kind of packed with bugs. There’s this meme that perfectly depicts EA Sports’ newest FIFA iteration.

On the bright side, online qualifications kick off in early December so there’s still enough time for EA to patch things up. Fingers crossed it happens as soon as possible so we can all enjoy spending our hard-earned money on those darn FUT packs…

Yep, you've guessed it – apart from esports, Pavo is a huge soccer fan and will never forget that dreamy July night of 2018. Esports-wise, he is in love with CS:GO, although Valorant switch seems rather inevitable at this point. As far as his writing style is concerned, Pavo is often plagued by the so-called Imposter Syndrome. His pieces are never good enough for his perfectionistic eyes and he spends more time proofreading than writing. He’s also the best MGE there is… and yeah, he did pay me to write that. Come to think of it, I should’ve demanded more money for such a blatant lie…
