EPOS Expands BLAST Premier Partnership Through 2021
EPOS is a big name in the world of audio technology, and we’ve talked a lot about their work over the last few months. This morning, we learned that the partnership EPOS had with BLAST Premier, the home of CSGO competitive play, has been extended through 2021. Through this, EPOS will show the world the power of their audio tech. Audio holds power to the gaming experience as a whole. With great mics and headsets, we can communicate clearly and quickly, instead of hearing static or getting something too late.
Mic’d Up Will Continue to Highlight Importance of Audio
This is a pretty huge partnership between EPOS and BLAST Premier, let’s be real. They will use broadcast segments and player activations to raise awareness of the importance of quality audio in esports/gaming, just in general. It helps all gamers. In 2020, the Global Finals saw integrated EPOS’ GTW 270 Series stories in BLAST Premier’s broadcast and social media channels. We recently spoke about EPOS GTW 270 wireless earbuds as well.
“We are excited to continue our partnership with BLAST Premier,” said Maja Sand-Grimnitz, head of global marketing, gaming at EPOS. “The first year of our partnership has brought attention to the importance of audio and communication at the highest level of competition. BLAST Premier and EPOS have a great fit as premium brands in their respective areas, and we look forward to continuing to bring high-quality engaging content to the fans.”
The technology of EPOS will be used throughout the BLAST Premier CSGO series in this partnership. The company’s branding will be used heavily throughout the tournament in all seven CSGO majors. You can look forward to more branded content, and best of all for gamers/fans of CSGO, several bespoke giveaways.
One of the big activations during the tournaments, ‘Mic’D Up’, will be sticking around. Mic’D Up was especially popular during this online era, as it gives insight into how teams communicate in the heat of combat in the BLAST Premier events. Since these players need to communicate clearly and efficiently more than ever, we need only the best communication tools.
“This partnership has really helped bring to light the importance of audio and communication in the world of esports through engaging and informative content, insight, and activations,” said BLAST’s VP Commercial Leo Matlock. “We are always thrilled when our partners renew and expand as it is testament to everyone’s hard work and collaboration. As we look toward our second year, we hope to continue to do this while looking to leverage BLAST Premier’s record-breaking global reach to help promote EPOS’ latest products and audio expertise.”
This is perfect timing as well. BLAST Premier 2021 starts this week. As it unites all the major CSGO tournaments, you will find all the action in one place. The teams that take part will go through seven intense BLAST Premier events for CSGO to see who is the greatest in the game. There is $2.4 million on the line in 2021, so these teams need only the best gear. That’s where EPOS comes into play with the continued BLAST Premier partnership. We can’t wait to see what teams show up and show out this year. We hope you’re going to be tuning in too.
