Did Dr Disrespect Leak Halo Infinite Battle Royale Info?
There’s a chance this could be nothing, but in a recent Dr Disrespect stream, he talked about an upcoming Battle Royale – could it be Halo Infinite? A Halo Battle Royale is one of the biggest talking points this year, and if Dr Disrespect isn’t just pulling our legs, this could be massive. People are frustrated with Warzone, and Apex Legends hasn’t been without its problems this year, so why not a Halo Infinite Battle Royale? That would absolutely change the game and force other devs to adapt or get overrun by the power of Halo.
No News Yet – But Maybe an Insider Leak?
We’ve seen details of how Halo Infinite is going to work, but so far, no talk of a Battle Royale – but Dr Disrespect didn’t give Halo by name. It could be that the Two-Time has one of the biggest bits of information around, that he just casually dropped during a stream with ZLaner. This could all be nothing, too though. It’s hard to tell where the joke begins and ends with Dr Disrespect at times. The more interesting thing about this stream was that it was on Twitch, where Dr Disrespect is actually banned. Nonetheless, ZLaner was on his team in Warzone, and was active on Twitch.
Dr Disrespect pointed out that he was ready to “jump right into a battle royale game too man, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” and after some laughter, he elaborated:
“From what I’ve heard, 300 players, set loot, power weapons on the map, the map designed around the power weapons and locations and points of interest… This is all inside information I am receiving. And it’s going to feel really good, supposedly, super optimized. If this first technical Alpha test was a resemblance of that, they’re going to knock it out of the park.”
TimTheTatMan didn’t seem convinced, laughing and ridiculing it the entire time. But what if he’s serious? What if this isn’t a joke, and Dr Disrespect knows about an upcoming Halo Infinite Battle Royale? That would be a serious move on 343’s part. This could very well just be a goof, though. It’s not like Dr Disrespect doesn’t have connections or contacts though. This could be the crumb of information people need to ignite more interest in Halo Infinite, as it comes closer to launch time. Since its multiplayer will be free-to-play and cross-play, that would be the move to make to get people online on day one.
