Dellor Moves to YouTube Gaming
It’s been a little less than a week since Dellor broke down following his permanent banning from streaming on Twitch.
The former-pro was comforted by many in the gaming scene letting him know not to give up hope, including YouTube’s Global Head of Gaming and Virtual Reality Ryan “Fwiz” Wyatt, who asked Dellor to reach out to him offering to help him get “back on track with your career.”
That help seems to have come pretty quickly as Dellor officially announced today that he would be moving on from Twitch to his new home on YouTube, which was followed up with a tweet by Wyatt welcoming him to the platform.
He hit 20,000 viewers in his first stream on the platform as well, proving his fanbase would follow him and grow with the move.
Reason for Banning
According to Dellor in a post on Twitlonger, his permanent ban from Twitch came as a direct result of him breaking his keyboard over his head, as he’d done many times before.
After being informed by the streaming giant that they considered the move self-harm, Dellor noted,
“They told me its permanent because of my number of strikes… I believe I have 4 strikes on my account, two of which were from 2+ years ago. I’ve been told by multiple trusted sources that your previous strikes would go away after a period of time of good behavior. I honestly thought I was ok and that my old strikes would have been gone by now.
To add to this, back during the massive TOS overhaul a while ago, I went to great extents to make sure my channel was clean. I took 3 days off to delete anything that would be remotely questionable on every platform, and talked to twitch staff to make sure I was going to be ok. They told me that nothing I had done in the past would be held against me in the future. This turned out to be false because my recent bans have been extra harsh because of my previous incidents years ago.”
The ban caused such a breakdown in Dellor that he had to check himself into a psych ward at a hospital for two days and needed medication to help deal with the mental issues the ban was causing, though noted that he was still fine now and appreciated the concern from all of his fans. By all means, it looks like Dellor is going to be successful on YouTube and hopefully is feeling better about recent events now.
