Crysis Remastered Trilogy Coming This Fall
Crysis is a game that’s well known, not for its story, but for its ability to take older GPUs and make them work their hardest just to run the game. Crysis was a technological marvel for the FPS series, spanning a massive open world with destructible buildings and an open-ended story with one of the most interesting gameplay mechanics. It gave players the iconic nanosuit, letting players go invisible and sprint faster, jump higher, and become invulnerable.
The second and third game took a step away from the open-world aspect of its predecessor and found itself becoming a linear first-person shooter campaign in the same vein as Call of Duty, while still retaining what made the nanosuit from the original great. The third game also followed in the footsteps of Crysis 2.
The reasoning behind the drastic change may have come from the fact that Crysis 2 and 3 found themselves on the Xbox 360, a console that wasn’t capable of running the original game. However, it looks like Crysis is making its return to PC and consoles this fall. Crysis 2 and 3 will get a facelift with a new console generation in a triple pack called the Crysis Remastered Trilogy. In a world where remasters aren’t few and far between, it seems like a good option to get people interested in the technological marvel that was the original Crysis.
What You Can Look Forward To
Crytek, the developer behind the Crysis series, had this to say about the release of the new bundle: “We’re excited to announce that these iconic Crysis games are returning in one bundle, remastered for a new generation of hardware. Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today’s platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure.”
The bundle will release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. For PC players, a special 8K version of the game is available entitled “Can It Run Crysis?” This will allow players to test the strength of their GPUs and run Crysis at its most powerful.
Those who want to relive the adventure of the series by fighting aliens, hunting bad guys throughout New York City, and stopping the end of the world can look forward to the Crysis Remastered Trilogy coming this fall. If you want to get a head start, Crysis Remastered has already been released. Crysis 2 and 3 will come at the same time as the triple pack release.
