Crimsix Thinks Cold War and Warzone Weapons Are “Too Easy” to Use
Crimsix is one of the most popular Call of Duty pros of all time, with some of the most wins under his belt, including the fact that he is currently one of only five active world champions in the Call of Duty League. With that unmatched expertise, he has finally given his opinion on the Cold War and Warzone weapons.
Crimsix Thinks Cold War Weapons Are “Too Easy”
In a thread of tweets that randomly appeared out of nowhere earlier today, Crimsix revealed what he thinks about the Cold War and Warzone weapons. But, interestingly enough, he does not have anything positive to say about them at this time.
This is especially intriguing since he is actively criticizing the game that he is currently competing in for a chance to defend his current championship trophy. It all began with a tweet that came out of left field with the three-time world champ noting how “absurd” it is to Crimsix how “easy these CODs are becoming.”
According to the champ, when it comes to Black Ops Cold War and its weapons, in particular, the aim assist is, according to the champ, “taken straight outta Thump’s nightmares” while tagging the content creator in the process. Essentially, Crimsix is trying to say that the aim assist is far too strong in the game.
This is arguably true as the aim of assisting with a controller, both on consoles and PC, is there to likely balance the gameplay for everyone. However, considering that Black Ops Cold War is cross-play with all platforms, this can be a delicate issue to deal with.
Cold War Aim Assist Is Likely Due to Cross-Play
You will have some PC players matching up with console players. The former may be using either the controller or mouse and keyboards. The eternal struggle between both formats for first-person shooters is a never-ending issue, but the fact remains that they are different.
To likely make up for this fact, Treyarch developed the controller play for Cold War with aim assist in mind. That said, the aim assist is fairly strong in the game for an FPS title, as I have experienced this myself.
There are crazy moments where I am waiting around a corner of a wall for someone to come by while I defend a point and I don’t even know someone is there, but the game notifies me by the aim reticle shifting to focus on a person on the other side of the wall.
Even though the person is not even within my actual line of sight, the aim assist let me know that someone was right there. I could have the advantage of being ready for them, even through a thin wall. That is admittedly a pretty strong aim assist feature.
Crimsix Also Gives His Thoughts on Warzone Weapons
That said, Crimsix did not stop there as he also went over the Warzone weapons. In the battle royale game, his issue with the Warzone weapons has to do with the recoil. According to Crimsix, there is no single gun in the game that recoils over a long distance to the “appropriate levels.”
This is balanced some by the fact Raven Software will slow down aiming down the sights for some weapons to counter the unbelievable weapon handling in the battle royale title, but this does little to help with that issue. Instead, Crimsix thinks that it “just makes the gameplay even worse.”
However, the story does not end there as this is where it gets spicy on Twitter. Crimsix had no issue speaking his own opinions early in the morning on social media as he fired back at some of the commenters on his tweet. One of these was fellow Call of Duty pro and former London Royal Ravens player Parasite.
Parasite commented on the tweet, noting that Crimsix should “git gud,” which may or may not have been a joke since that sort of context is hard to tell on the internet. Regardless, Crimsix did not like the tweet and came back with his own rather harsh comment comparing the fact that he was on the Team of the Week recently while Parasite was “Team of the Week” at the local Snappy Salads.
Crimsix Even Gave His Thoughts to the Call of Duty Developers
And the craziness did not stop there as Crimsix then went on to tag Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward all in a single tweet for everyone to see. Next, he told the three core multiplayer Call of Duty developers to watch videos of the Battlefield 3 AEK-971 weapon.
He noted that it was “the best gun in that game,” but it also had the highest skill required to use it due to the recoil. But if you could control the gun well, it had the fastest time to kill in the whole game. This essentially meant that you had to have the skill and expertise to get the fastest kills in Battlefield 3 with that weapon.
He noted that this is how “it should be” in every single FPS game that has ever been made and will be made. These are bold claims from the current champ. It is clear that the current state of the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone weapons was quite annoyed at least at that moment.
But this could perhaps make some actual change in the future as Crimsix has a lot of authority as one of the greatest Call of Duty players of all time. With Sledgehammer Games hard at work on the heavily rumored Call of Duty Vanguard, who knows if this could influence some of the weapons that will be in that game later this year?
