Crimsix Forced Out of OpTic, Scump and Hecz Were Given An Ultimatum
Following up on yesterday’s leaks of Crimsix being dropped from OpTic, the now teamless pro has come forward explaining what exactly happened to get him removed from the team.
The Post
In a post on Twitter, Crimsix claimed that three people (likely referring to Dashy, TJ, and Formal), had conspired against him towards two of his friends (likely referring to Scump and Hecz) to get Crim kicked off of the team.
He stated the players had given an ultimatum. Crim noted the players wanted to leave or left the team already in the past.
He also expressed his frustration of putting five years of hard work into the team and brand, only to be forced out by people who weren’t committed to the team.
Detailing the timeline of events, Crim stated how all the decisions around his involvement in the squad took place the night before an early franchising meeting, at which he was informed he was let go.
Crim then stumbled through a point about spending “late-night hours” throwing a team together, their salaries and such, likely as a counter-proposal for the team.
He expressed that he didn’t care that he was removed from the team. He was more upset that Scump and Hecz weren’t given a fair choice to make, saying he didn’t ask Scump to choose between the two options since it wouldn’t be fair.
Analysis
Glossing over the rather wretched situation Dashy, TJ, and Formal put the team into, the post seems to give clarity to who Crimsix was blaming for OpTic’s decline, seemingly pinning the blame on those three.
Considering this all happened recently, it also confirms that not only is Hecz’s new OpTic project done but that he seems to be sticking it out with Immortals and the new OpTic CoD-only focus.
Given Hecz’s outspoken criticism of the team’s handling as of late, that move comes as an incredible surprise. But given he built the brand from nothing, perhaps Immortals wants to let him help rebuild the teams image heading into the franchised era.
Either way, Crim clarified in following comments that this wouldn’t be his end. He still planned on getting signed with a squad, a rather easy task for a guy who many have considered one of the greats. It’s likely that with Crimsix dropped from OpTic, many teams are interested in picking it up.
We’ll continue to follow the situation and keep you all updated as new developments come to light.
