Court Documents Reveal Fortnite Samus, Naruto, Hunger Games Skins, More

Epic Games is at the beginning of the court trial against Apple, suing the company for antitrust regarding the iOS ecosystem after the V-Bucks reduction debacle in Fortnite in 2020. As part of this court trial, some leaked information came out, including the long-awaited Fortnite Samus skin, as well as many others that we didn’t know about until now.

Official Court Documents Reveal Leaked Fortnite Info

As this is a court trial, dozens of documents have to be submitted to the courts to prove evidence of one argument or another. Both Epic Games and Apple have to provide information regarding their companies and dealings, which is rather informative.

As it is not only through this that we can find out more about the financial side of Epic Games, we have also found more about the possible future of the battle royale title Fortnite. Through the official court documents, there are some unreleased skins and content that have been revealed.

The Verge was able to acquire the documents in question shows a quarterly business review in June 2020. As this is nearly a year old at this point, it is worth noting that this information may be inaccurate at this current time in Season 6 of Fortnite.

However, there is no doubt that this information is intriguing as it reveals a ton of possible partnerships and skins that were at least in planning at the time of the business review. Before we go any further, please keep in mind that this is all potentially outdated at this point.

This means that the leaked info was true at the time of June 2020, but video game development and business are ever-changing. Any or all of this leaked info could have been canceled between then and now or in the future.

All Possibly Leaked Fortnite Skins and What This Means

With all of that out of the way, let’s get the good stuff. The leaked information includes the highly anticipated Fortnite Samus skin that players have wanted for so long. In addition to that one that players have wanted, there are notable crossovers planned in June 2020.

These include the first true anime crossover with Naruto having a possible skin in Fortnite. The Hunger Games was planned to have its own skin as well with the leading star Katniss Everdeen and other characters like The Bride from the Kill Bill series.

It was also mentioned that there would be a crossover for fabled basketball player LeBron James and another skin dedicated to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plus others. This presentation included information about skins that did release, like Master Chief, Kratos, and most recently Neymar Jr., so it is possibly accurate.

The fact that it has been heavily implied that The Rock is the voice of The Foundation from the opening of Season 6. We imagine that he will appear someday in the game, so this one could be one of the most likely candidates for actually happening.

The Foundation was a huge part of the beginning of the sixth season, sounded a lot like The Rock, and there are plenty of signs pointing towards that being the case. With the character very likely to return at some point, we expect a skin sooner rather than later.

Another likely skin to be true is the LeBron James one. James is one of the most famous basketball players of all time. We had a soccer star recently with Neymar Jr., so it would make sense to have LeBron James join the game at some point, perhaps as the battle pass unlockable character next season.

Then there is the case of the Fortnite Samus skin. This one has been rumored and wanted by players in the community for a long time. The fifth season was bounty hunter-themed. There were many hunter skins like Master Chief (hunter of aliens, we guess?) and Kratos (hunter of gods).

Those exclusive characters from the two console platform manufacturers were a huge moment, letting PlayStation players use Master Chief and Xbox owners use Kratos. That was a monumental moment for the industry, so many expected Nintendo to follow suit with its skin in Fortnite.

And the most reasonable one would be Samus Aran, the Metroid hunter herself from the Metroid series. However, the whole season came and went without it releasing. So, there is a chance that it might not come out at all in the future, or it could just arrive randomly in a later season.

While it wouldn’t make sense for the Fortnite Samus skin to come out after the bounty hunter-themed season, a similar situation happened for Lara Croft. The Tomb Raider skin leaked as well but didn’t release in the hunter season but rather in this current sixth season, for some odd reason.

So, there is still hope that we could see the Fortnite Samus skin in the future. But keep in mind that this is all old content that Epic Games was planning nearly a year ago. It is not evidence that any of these were ever developed, but rather, just a possibility for that to happen.

There is a chance that some of these never went beyond the planning stages or were even canceled in the development phase. With the ongoing trial between Apple and Epic Games, we will likely see even more leaks and information come out of it soon.
