CoD Mobile World Championship 2021 Features 2 Mil Prize Pool
The CoD Mobile World Championship 2021 is kicking off on June 3rd, 2021, and that 2 million prize pool is staggering. It’s not new to see such a big prize pool, but it is nice to see. However, the announcement was made yesterday that the CoD Mobile World Championship 2021 is coming, and it’s coming soon. If you think you’ve got what it takes, and meet the requirements, you could make your way into the competition, and try for a share of that huge prize pool.
Rules, and the Road to CoD Glory:
If you’re 18 or older at the time of registration, you’re on the right track. You also have to be Level 10 or higher, so you can take part in Ranked Multiplayer. You also finally, have to be in a region that will be competing, and that will be revealed soon. Don’t feel like you have to have a team to get started either, because Stage 1 is Solo Play. You can’t get in without it. In Stage 1 (Solo Play) you have to gain 60 points across ten matches in any of the four weekends.
From there, players in Stage 1 will be made into teams for Stage Two (Team Play). The teams will aim to climb the ladder and complete 30 ranked matches together. The top 256 teams will qualify for the Regional Qualifiers – Stage 3. CoD Mobile’s World Championship 2021 will have an elimination-style bracket for Stage 3. Finally, the Regional winners will move on to the CoD Mobile World Championship Finals for 2021, and will ultimately do battle to see who the best is.
According to a blog posted by CoD Mobile, the platform/external controllers has been ruled on. For Stages 1, 2, and 3, tablets/iPads are allowed. Beyond that, players will be required to play on the Sony Xperia 1 III device. Further explanation on what devices are allowed will be ruled on at a later date.
As for controllers, the following was stated:
“The use of controllers or any other external equipment is strictly prohibited in all stages of the World Championship. Players attempting to have any external devices interact with their game will be disqualified completely from all Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2021 tournaments.”
This is likely to put everyone on as close to an equal footing as possible. If some people use a controller and others don’t, that’s a very clear advantage. It’s an exciting tournament though, that’s for sure. With the 2 million+ dollar prize pool being distributed among the Regional Playoffs and World Championship Finals participants, there’s a fair way to make some serious cash if you’re good enough. Keep your eyes peeled, as we’re sure registration will be coming up soon.
