CoD Burner Exposed by FaZe Censor

by in General | Jul, 22nd 2019

After months of speculation, the identity of the infamous CoD Burner has finally been exposed. Well sort of anyway, as his real name is still a mystery.

CoD player Censor of FaZe Clan finally released his 57-minute exposé revealing the identity of the CoD Burner, the man leaking behind the scenes information for most of the past year.

Censor starts his video by stating a few times that the information he’s dug up is making him fear for his safety and that this will be his last reveal of information about the Burner. From there he jumped into discussing how he first came to meet the Burner, a man who goes by both Edgar and Dexter to those he meets, which isn’t even the strangest part of this whole ordeal.

Going Down The CoD Burner Rabbit Hole

Censor first met him last year during CWL Seattle when the man sat down with Doug, introduced himself as Dexter, and quickly began discussing his luxurious lifestyle and all the traveling and business ventures he’d been apart of. The abrupt bragging quickly put off Censor and made him wary of the man, but he didn’t think much about him at the time.

A short time later, he meets the Burner again, who brags that he works at financial firm Goldman Sachs. When Censor mentions that his uncle works there the Burner immediately calls the man a douche and quickly changes the conversation subject.

Suspicious, Censor had his aunt look into the Goldman Sach employee database for evidence of Dexter’s supposed employment there. She came back to him with the shocking revelation that not only did he not currently work there, but he had never been involved with the company in any form.

He then discusses how this what around the time that the rumors of CoD Burner buying the OpTic squad began to surface around the scene. Alarmed at the sketchiness of “Dexter”, Censor tried to talk to several pros close to the man to find out more about him and his plans for the CoD scene.

None of the pros were able to answer, however, as the Burner had gotten them to sign NDA’s with him in exchange for monetary compensation. At the time of this writing, none of the players have been paid for the NDA, throwing up even more red flags for Censor.

It gets stranger from there too, as the further Censor looked into the Burner, the more and more sketchy the man became.

The Plot Thickens

He was found to have been asking Illey, an up-and-coming 17 year-old pro, for a signed controller for a St. Jude’s charity event he said he was working on, and asked for his address to ship the controller to. In the DM’s he mentions he works for St. Jude’s, contradicting his earlier remarks about working for Goldman Sachs.

He also ran a $10,000 giveaway on Twitter, the winner of which is a suspicious account that only ever retweets and comments on his posts. Censor believes the giveaway was a fake, and that the other account also belongs to the Burner, with the man utilizing the account to try and build some credibility around his claims of wealth.

Censor also discovered that the $3 million condo in Miami the Burner claimed to have purchased wasn’t even under his name. He also found out that many of the photos the Burner had been posting were in fact stock images he’d either bought the rights too or removed the watermarks in Photoshop. When called out on it, the Burner sent out a tweet saying his AC had “broken”, and that if anyone wanted to meet with him he’d be in a nearby hotel instead.

Things get more and more concerning the more you read about everything CoD Burner is doing. While we don’t know exactly what his plans are, we can only surmise that they’re not going to be good for the scene.

Thanks to Censor for doing the deep investigative work on this matter. We hope you remain safe from any repercussions this reveal may bring you too.

Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated on any developments in the investigation.
