Censor Establishes New Rivalry With Atlanta Faze

Censor may have left FaZe Clan for the New York Subliners, but the famed CoD player appears to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder regarding his old org.

In a pair of recent interviews with Dextero and NRG Hecz, Censor came out discussing his time with his now-former org, discussing how he felt wronged by FaZe after getting picked by Patty, never getting the chance to re-prove himself to the squad.

With Atlanta picking up the Faze moniker for themselves, Censor seems bent on taking down his former org, proving them wrong and getting revenge for all those years left out of the scene as a content creator, though his role as a sub for NY may mean he doesn’t personally get the opportunity.

It’s a good start of a team-to-team rivalry for the New York Subliners, a team that has struggled since revealing their team and branding to generate much enthusiasm within the community, though it’s far from the first rivalry beginning to form in the preseason.

LA OpTic and LA Gorillas have been set to be rivals since being announced in the same city, while Dallas Empire and Chicago Huntsmen have begun to build their own after Crimsix’s recent attacks on his former teammates and their new home.

Given the hesitancy of many over Call of Duty franchising in 2020, it’s great to see teams and players already establishing story lines and rivalries so early on, though it remains to be seen if the community will truly buy into them in the end. Regardless, we’re sure we haven’t seen the last of the tension between Censor and the Atlanta FaZe.

The End of the Temp Beef

Speaking of Censors interviews, he’s also used these moments in the spotlight to finally clarify that he doesn’t, in fact, have any beef with Temp, a story we covered upon his joining of the Subliners.

Many feared that his history with his new teammate, and Temp’s reaction to him joining, was going to cause problems for the team and its chemistry, so Censor confirming on his end at least that there’s nothing to worry about, though whether or not Temp feels the same way is currently unknown.

Given Censor’s role as a sub for the team, that may help alleviate any friction created from them playing together, though if he does end up starting we’ll see how they can handle playing together.
