Capcom Releases Resident Evil Perfumes Based on Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and Jill Valentine
Buying merchandise for a series is always a great way of showing support if a player already has all the games in their library, whether its clothes, a poster, an action figure, or an enhanced game edition. However, some companies like to make their merchandise for players with class, and Capcom has been doing just that. Capcom is now selling scented perfumes after some of their protagonists from the Resident Evil series.
With Resident Evil passing its 20th anniversary in March 2021, Capcom is pushing out more promotions for the series this year after the release of Resident Evil Village. This time, it’s Resident Evil perfumes, with three scents based on Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and Jill Valentine.
This fits the series since each character played a big part in the Resident Evil series and was one of the protagonists from the original Resident Evil trilogy. Redfield and Valentine are Resident Evil 1, Kennedy is Resident Evil 2, and Valentine comes back in Resident Evil 3.
Here’s How to Get It
However, any players who want to get their hands on a Kennedy branded perfume will have to import a bottle from Japan. There’s no guarantee that the Resident Evil perfumes will make their way overseas. The perfume is only available on the Capcom Store at the moment. Still, other Japan-exclusive items have made their way globally before, and Amazon Japan will ship internationally. The prospects of the 25th-anniversary perfume coming to America are not out of the question.
This isn’t the first time that perfumes based on other franchises have been made available to players. Capcom has made multiple other scents based on Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney, and Devil May Cry.
While inspired by the characters from the first three games in the survival horror series, the Resident Evil perfumes don’t have descriptions of what they smell like, so the possibility of what a Redfield scented perfume is up for debate. Regardless, they’re here. If players are willing to pay an extra buck, adding a little dash of Resident Evil to date night could make for an interesting first impression.
