Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration Lets You Earn Free Items
Activision has announced that there is a special Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration event where the community and the game itself is able to honor the real veterans who have served the United States. The event was announced just recently and will be happening today only.
Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration Event Details
On today, November 11, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration is happening in partnership with Twitch and various streamers around the world. Not only is this a great time to honor the real life soldiers who risked everything but get some great rewards in the process.
This partnership is done with the game and Twitch Drops, a service that you might be familiar with if you’ve taken advantage of various free offers in the past like with the Hearthstone tournaments. For those who don’t know, Twitch Drops is a service where you get rewarded for watching Twitch streams live.

If you tune into one of the official Twitch Drops livestreams, you are able to not only enjoy some of your favorite streamers out there but get rewarded at the same time. How it works is that the streamer can set up the process to work randomly where a random viewer(s) is chosen to get some rewards or everyone can get something for fulfilling certain requirements.
In the case of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration, everyone will have the chance to earn the same rewards just for tuning in while the streams are going live. It all starts with finding the right streamer to watch in the event that is happening today.
Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Streamers List
Activision has partnered with some of the biggest and most notable shooter streamers out there, including a few of the professional esports players as well. These include some of the most popular streamers out there like Dr. Disrespect, Myth, and many more. You can find the full list of the 12 streamers that will be part of the action below:
- Dr. Disrespect
- Summit1g
- Dakotaz
- Myth
- TSM_Daequan
- TSM_Hamlinz
- TSM_Viss
- RealKraftyy
- ChocoTaco
- Diegosaurs
- Beaulo
- KittyPlays
Those 12 streamers will be checking out the latest Call of Duty game today and throughout the day, presumably, at different schedules to provide for those who are in different time zones. If there is a particular streamer you are interested in, be sure to check out their Twitch channel first and foremost.
It is possible that they will already be streaming online and you won’t want to miss out on the possible Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration rewards. If they aren’t streaming, be sure to check out their social media channels and accounts to see when they might get online.
The first step for getting the Twitch Drops is finding the streamer that you wish to watch online. If you are looking for some recommendations, we have a few players that we highly recommend you check out. Dr. Disrespect is likely the biggest streamer on the list so there is one if you just want a quality streamer with a one-of-a-kind personality.
Then there is also dakotaz and Myth, two players who know what they are doing in shooters. Both are excellent players who are able to stand their ground against just about anyone on the battlefield. From there, we also have the Team SoloMid trio that will be part of the event.
TSM is one of, if not the, biggest esports organizations in the world and they are known for their talent in a variety of online esports games. If you want someone is a little bit different from the others, you should watch KittyPlays for an engaging, audience-focused streamer who is great.
Of course, this goes without saying but this is a rated M game that is being streamed so many, if not all, of these streams will be designated for mature audiences only.
How to Get the Twitch Drop Rewards
Once you have picked the streamer that you are going to watch, you are able to move onto the next step in the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration process. That next step is to create a Call of Duty account if you don’t already have one for the game.
While you aren’t required to have one of these accounts for playing the game online, it is required for using the cross-play functionality between PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the very least. It is also necessary for gaining access to the sweet rewards that are exclusively available today.
If you don’t already have one of those accounts, be sure to sign up for one online. Once you have one, you need to link your Twitch account to it so that you are able to earn the Twitch Drops on the right account. This can be easily done in the Twitch settings while you are logged in.
Activision also recommends that even if you already have the two accounts linked, be sure to unlink and relink again so that you are able to ensure that you will get these rewards. With all of that said and done, you will then be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show for today.
What you need to do is make sure that the streamer that you are watching is one of the official Twitch Drop streams. If you aren’t sure if you are on an official one, be sure to take a look at the bottom left corner. There, you should find that the Twitch Drops logo is shown there and you will be good to go.
Activision is allowing you to watch more than one officially partnered stream at the same time, both of which will likely contribute to the time that you need for earning the rewards. Your total watch time will be tallied up together, which are necessary for the two rewards.
Twitch Drops Rewards
If you watch for at least one hour during the stream, you will get the first of two rewards that will be available for players. This reward is a simple but great one: an item for two times the experience. It will only last for 30 minutes, which isn’t a long time but will be good enough for getting some XP.
Then if you are able to watch for a total of two hours of the official streams, you will earn the Ode to the Brave animated calling card. This is a special and exclusive calling card that will be great for showing off your support for veterans when you are playing online in multiplayer matches.
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare Veteran’s Day Celebration event is happening today, November 11, online so be sure to not miss out on one of the Twitch Drop streams.
