Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 The Heat Is Here: Slums, Stack, More
Call of Duty Mobile is entering a new era with its sixth season since the restart of the numbered seasons. Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 is quite literally bringing the heat this time around with a season of new content that fits right in with the hot summer we have going on in the northern hemisphere.
Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 The Heat Is Almost Here
The Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 theme is known as The Heat season. As with the other seasons since the Call of Duty Mobile content reboot, this one has its theme like the most recent Season 5. It is bringing the fire with lots of themed items and locations that players will check out.
The content in Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 goes live with the update on July 29 at around 5 p.m. PT for both Android and iOS mobile devices. At that time, players will be able to ensure that they have installed the most recent update and then check out the new content.
What you should keep in mind, though, is that players who are on different versions of the mobile Call of Duty game will not be able to play with one another. So, if you have some friends you want to hang out with in the game, be sure to remind them to update to the new season as soon as possible.
Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 is a pretty standard season with some new multiplayer maps to check out, new weapons to unlock, the latest battle pass, and more. However, there is a little bit of extra content thrown in there for Zombies fans finally. We have the breakdown of all of that and more below.
What’s New in the Battle Pass
The new Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 The Heat battle pass shows that players can start progressing through for starters. The Heat battle pass is here to guide players under the scorching sun of content that you will be able to find in the latest season of Call of Duty Mobile.
As always, there are plenty of new tiers to unlock as you go about completing the challenges and earning the items for the next month or so of this season. Furthermore, there are also the free and premium versions of the battle pass like usual.
For everyone in Season 6, including those players who would like not to pay anything at all this season, you will still be able to unlock some new items through the free version of the new battle pass. The free tiers this time around include a brand new weapon and scorestreak for players to collect.
As always, the actual gameplay items that affect the battles in the mobile game, like loadouts and the like, are free to everyone without having to spend any real money on it. The first up is the new scorestreak that you will get through the Season 6 battle pass.
This is the new Swarm scorestreak to get at only tier 14 in the new Season 6 The Heat battle pass. This new scorestreak will do what it sounds like: it will summon a swarm of lethal Hunter Killer drones that will swoop in and take out your enemies in swift fashion.
The next main item that every player will be able to unlock is the new weapon in this season: the MX9. This new functional weapon is a rapid-fire gun that will likely be a fan favorite for close combat and quick, aggressive players in matches.
You will be able to tear your enemies apart with this new weapon that will unlock in the game at only tier 21, just a few more tiers after unlocking the new scorestreak for free. It has not yet been revealed if the new MX9 weapon will be in battle royale matches as drop loot, but we hope it will.
Other free items that you will be able to get in the new battle pass worth noting include the AK-47 Epiphany version, the Rugged calling card, and others. But the bulk of the new cosmetic and blueprint items that you will be able to get in the battle pass are exclusive to the premium version.
If you purchase the new paid battle pass in Season 6, you will be able also get the Rosa Double Agent operator skin, ICR-1 Blood Money version, Escape in Style calling card, and a new weapon charm right when you unlock the paid version at tier one.
Besides the already mentioned free items in the pass, you will also get the other operator skins for Price and Domino, plus the KN-44 Clout blueprint, Stone Serpent for the new MX9 gun, and other cosmetic items like the Juggle and Shoot emote. Just be sure to keep in mind that this battle pass will only be available for about a month while Season 6 is here, so you’ll need to collect whatever you are interested in before that time runs out.
Slums and Stack Arrive in Call of Duty Mobile
When it comes to the brand new playable content in Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 The Heat, there are two new multiplayer maps that you will be able to check out this season. Fortunately, this time around, the game is not focusing on only one sub-series in Call of Duty, but two of them.
First up, we have the fan-favorite Black Ops 2 location of the Slums. This classic destination is a highly competitive one that features the streets of the slums in this city with balanced gameplay to it.
There is the central fountain that you can fight around and the pesky corners that an enemy could be lurking, waiting to take you out at. While a more intimate map of sorts, this competitive experience will be available in most of the standard multiplayer game modes in Season 6.
The other new multiplayer map this time around is Stack. While Slums is a Black Ops favorite, this one is from the Modern Warfare series and, specifically, the 2019 reboot. First introduced in that game, Stack is another highly competitive map that will be a favorite this season.
In Stack, players are in the midst of the desert at a training facility meant to be a competitive experience. It is a pretty much symmetrical map location, so you will find that this is one of the most lucrative maps for the popular Gunfight experience. It will join the Gunfight maps starting in this new season.
Undead Siege Explained
If you were to ask Zombies players the one feature or game mode that they would like to see in Call of Duty Mobile, likely, the answer that you would receive is not of something brand new. It would simply be a game mode we have already had in the past, but returning, and that is Zombies.
One of the greatest tragedies of Call of Duty Mobile is the fact that we had Zombies at one time in the game, making it the ultimate Call of Duty experience on mobile, but then it vanished. We still do not have the traditional Zombies back, but we now have the new Undead Siege experience.
Call of Duty Mobile Season 6 will see the launch of Undead Siege. In this new Zombies-like experience, players and their squad will be transported to the Isolated battle royale map for a chance to survive against the zombie hordes for five days and five nights in total.
This is a unique zombie experience that seems to have some inspiration from the Outbreak mode in Cold War that takes the larger maps and uses them to survive against the undead. In Undead Siege, though, it uses the main battle royale map for the game mode.
How this exciting new survival mode works is that during the day, players will have a more relatively peaceful experience on the Isolated map and be able to scavenge for supplies and equipment to bring back to your base for nighttime.
At night, though, this is when the zombies come out to play. They will try to take down your mobile base. You will have to fight against wave after wave of the undead each night to defend your home against the zombies and live to see another sunrise.
In Undead Siege, players will have access to guns, turrets, and teamwork to survive for the five days and nights as the horde becomes stronger and larger over time. There are more than 25 rewards that you can exclusively get in this new game mode, like blueprints and an operator skin.
There is even an Undead Siege event that will happen later on in the new season and offer some challenges for players in both the new game mode and battle royale and multiplayer. You will be able to collect irradiated and regular ore, which can then be used to mine for Aether.
That Aether will then be used to earn some special event rewards that you will not be able to get anywhere else. Hopefully, Undead Siege is a brand new permanent game mode and one that will, hopefully, pave the way for a more traditional Zombies wave-based experience in the future.
New Ranked Series and Clan Wars
A new season of Call of Duty Mobile means a new season of the ranked series for players to check out. Season 6 will include the usual reset of the rank for your account, probably bringing it down some but still in the general ballpark of where you were able to achieve at the end of Season 5.
This will allow you to up your rank more, moving up and down through the tiers, depending on your performance in matches. Through this, you will earn special new ranked series rewards, including the new CR-56 AMAX Street Venom blueprint unlocked at the Master I rank in multiplayer.
Furthermore, for those of you who prefer to play the ranked battle royale game mode in Call of Duty Mobile, you will be able to possibly earn the new Lerch Penalty Kick blueprint if you can reach the slightly harsher Master III rank in battle royale.
This new season also means that there is a new Clan Wars season for you to compete in. This means that there are brand new nodes in Clan Wars for you to capture. Through Clan Wars, you will have the chance to earn the new primary rewards that include the new Firebreak operator skin and RUS-79U Cagebreaker weapon blueprint.
Lastly, if competing in the mobile game is not enough for you and you are a fan of the mobile esports surrounding CODM, you might be happy to know that you will be able to enjoy the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2021 inside of the game itself.
It is currently in the Stage 3 Regional Playoffs. Five of the playoffs tournaments will be live-streamed inside of the game itself as well as the usual spot on YouTube. Watching the double-elimination bracket tournament will also give you the chance to earn some special in-game rewards just for tuning in to the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2021 in Season 6.
