Call of Duty Mobile Zombies is on the way this week. But, that won’t be the only major to addition to the game. According to a recent leak, the Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 start date is going to be kicking off this week with the new update to the game.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 Start Date Reportedly Leaked

How we know this is because of a leaker who posted the upcoming patch notes for the November 22 update for Call of Duty Mobile. We do recommend that you take this leak with a grain of salt. That said, the update is supposedly releasing that day and brings tons of new features, modes, and more.

One of the most significant portions of the leaked patch notes is the Call of Duty Mobile Season 2 start date. If you couldn’t guess it already, the patch notes reveal that the start of Season 2 happens alongside the release of the upcoming update. It marks the release of the unlimited airborne season rewards and winter skins plus more attractive rewards.

It looks to be a decreasing season in the fact that the Season 1 rank will not be fully reset but only reduced in Season 2. What this means is that if you reached the max level of 55, you don’t have to worry about losing that level.

Your officer rank likely goes back down to 55, and you will have to through the 100 or so new officer ranks in the upcoming season. The scoring system works changes so that you can get an easier score when you are at a high rank.

There is also some optimization for match ranks so that the wait time for matching up with other players shouldn’t be as long anymore. Also, players previously banned from the game will be removed from the leaderboard.

With the start of Season 2, there is a new premium pass for players to purchase. Alex Mason joins the game as a classic character for players to get. There are more than 100 items that players can get from the new premium pass.

Leaked Patch Notes Detail Controller Support and Zombie Mode

The release of this update also means that controller support finally gets added to the game. It was previously available during the beta and for a short time in the full release but was quickly removed to avoid making the game unfair.

Players can start using their PS4 and Xbox One controllers in the game. The controllers will only be usable in the matches themselves rather than in the menus and the like. It is recommended that players use a newer PS4 controller for connecting to the game.

We already know about the Zombies mode launching with the upcoming update, but now we have some new details on how it will work. It has the classic zombies map Shinonuma and gameplay that players will recognize from the mainline series.

There are a couple of zombie modes like survival mode. In this mode, players have to survive for as long as they can to purchase new guns, upgrades and more. For the raid mode, players need to survive long enough to reach the end and face off against the final boss.

Players can find and collect an Easter egg in the Zombie mode. Players can get unique rewards from the Zombies mode like characters, weapons, and more.

New Multiplayer Mode and Optimization Revealed

There is a new multiplayer mode added for a limited time in this update. It is the one shot one kill event mode where the name gives away exactly how it will work. Players can have a J358 revolver that can kill anyone with a single shot anywhere on them.

The first player to reach 20 kills in this mode is the winner. Another game mode option will be available to players in Prop Hunt. This famous mode makes its way to the mobile game. Players can hide as objects to survive against the humans.

With this update, Activision is releasing a ton of optimization changes for the game. The buoys in all modes will become transparent for players when the aim’s view is closed. There is a new map added to the game like Summit that veteran players recognize.

Summit will be available in the Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, and Frontline game modes. Lighting has been optimized on several of the maps to make sure that it seems more natural and better overall.

Control changes are available, too, allowing for players to fire in the

transition between aiming down the sights and switching to hip fire and vice versa. There can now be a fixed virtual joystick that you can adjust in the settings to fit your play style.

You can interrupt your slide by jumping once more, in case you didn’t mean to slide or go too far. Finally, in terms of new stuff in this update, there is a new operator in the form of the Gravity Spikes skill. You can jump up and then slam down for a strong impact.

There is a new scorestreak, too, in the form of the drone. At 750 points, you can use this drone to spy on enemies and then attack them with a weapon attached to it.

We were only able to cover just a small portion of the upcoming update in the leaked patch notes. There is so much more in terms of optimization, balancing, bug fixes, and more. Stay tuned for, hopefully, an official announcement of the patch notes soon.
