Blueprint Gun Game and More Join Black Ops Cold War This Week
Treyarch has revealed the latest weekly news for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Players can look forward to new weekly playlists this week as usual, but with some extra goodies happening this week as well. The new playlists this week include the new Black Ops Cold War Blueprint Gun Game and more.
New Call of Duty Warzone Playlists Revealed
Thursdays are the standard days for new game modes and playlists to drop in Cold War and Call of Duty Warzone, too, and the latest batch is here. On the Warzone side of things, players will find that two game modes have been removed while two more have come to take their places.
Firstly, the game modes that have been removed are for the normal Verdansk battle royale side and Plunder. For Verdansk, players will no longer be able to check out the Mini Royale Trios game mode that was only here for a limited time, offering that fast-paced battle royale goodness.
For Plunder, the normal quads mode is gone for a reason you will see when it comes to the modes that arrived this week. The first of the new additions this week is Resurgence Duos for the Rebirth Island map in Call of Duty Warzone.
Players will enjoy the classic rebirth gameplay on Alcatraz Island but in a duos format this time around. So, players who have a partner they like to play with can check this mode out. For Plunder, normal quads have been replaced by returning the very popular Blood Money Quads version.
Blueprint Gun Game Arrives in Black Ops Cold War
These are likely the final limited-time game modes for Warzone until the release of the new season of content and the possible end of the Verdansk map as we know it. Some new game modes are available this week for the Black Ops Cold War side.
Cold War fans will find that the biggest new game mode this week is Blueprint Gun Game’s release. Weapon blueprints are the specialized versions of guns that have a unique look and already come equipped with a specific set of attachments for a particular playstyle.
On the other hand, Gun Game is the beloved mode where players start with a simple weapon and getting kills with that weapon switches you to the next one and so on until someone can get a kill with the last weapon: the simple knife.
However, in this Blueprint Gun Game version, players will go through a selection of weapon blueprints instead of the standard base weapons usually in the mode. The Blueprint Gun Game mode will be here for the next week or until the new Season 3 update drops sometime next week.
What Else Is in Black Ops Cold War This Week
This week’s other mode is a fan favorite that is returning, and that is Snipers Only Moshpit. If you are a fan of the sniper rifles in Black Ops Cold War, you may be a fan of this particular playlist. Sniper rifles are the only weapons allowed in this long-range take on the usual game modes that you would find in the online multiplayer.
With Snipers Only Moshpit’s return, there is a fix for a very annoying bug that was associated with it. Your non-sniper classes would be reset upon entering a match of this playlist is no longer an issue and should be fixed now.
There is a new double XP weekend that will happen to celebrate the upcoming end of the current second season in Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty Warzone. We know that the last one just happened, and yet another one is going to be happening this weekend.
New Triple Double XP Weekend Announced
The new double XP weekend will occur from Friday, April 16 at 10 a.m. PT through Monday, April 19 at 10 a.m. PT. Players will get roughly three days of double the experience in both games and, not only that, but this will be the fabled triple-double XP weekend as well.
This means that your overall account level will not only double the experience that it normally gets, but the weapons you have will also get double XP. Even the battle pass tiers progression will have double the speed of what it normally is.
For those of you who are eagerly awaiting Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War but still haven’t finished off everything you can in Season 2, this is a great chance for you to get in there and enjoy double the normal experience for every single element of the game.
This also includes the Zombies side, and not just battle royale and multiplayer, so players who enjoy the undead mode can benefit from this. Speaking of Zombies, there are some minor fixes and playlist changes with the playlist update today.
What’s New in Zombies This Week
When it comes to Dead Ops Arcade 3, the experience you get in this one has been adjusted. When it comes to the user interface, a fix has been addressed for the problem where the game would show you the wrong data when playing the Solo Advanced Start version.
And there is now a fix for the Silverback Slideways bonus round. The featured playlists that you will find in the Zombies section this next week include the following:
- Firebase Z
- Die Maschine
- Dead Ops Arcade 3: FPS
- Dead Ops Arcade 3
- Onslaught (PlayStation users only)
