Counter-Strike is one of the biggest games in all esports when it comes to pulse-pounding, heart-stopping action. When watching or playing, some sounds are iconic to the game. “Rush B!” “I molly ramp!” and “Planting” are cues we’re all familiar with.

When playing the best games on the planet at the highest level, we need the best audio equipment possible. On that note, we learned that EPOS and their EPOS | Sennheiser brand is coming together with leading esports and entertainment company, BLAST Premier!

That’s right, get ready, the BLAST Premier Spring Series is on the way!

What Is the Blast Premier Series?

That’s right, there’s an awesome series of CS:GO matches coming, in the form of the BLAST Premier. This kicked off back in January, with 12 of the world’s best CS:GO teams courtesy of BLAST Premier. Astralis, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and more are competing for three weeks at 3 Mills Studio in London for a share of the $4.25 million prize pool.

But what’s awesome esports without equal audio? That’s where EPOS and BLAST Premier come in. This partnership has a new project to mark the beginning of the team-up. The new project, Mic’D Up, will give fans all over the world a unique insight into how these elite-level players communicate.

Sounds like Mic’D Up will give players a never-before-heard peek into the matches. Fans can hear the mid-match moments, banter, and plays for themselves. Want to know what goes into the best teams and how they get the work done? Mic’D Up will give you just that.

Leo Matlock, commercial director of BLAST, spoke about the partnership. “Together we will bring to life the many ways that audio is so crucial; the player communication, and how their internal communication lead their actions in the gameplay. To do all this with a world-renowned audio specialist who is investing in their gaming products is very exciting. We look very much forward to working closely with EPOS.”

We love getting behind the scenes and hearing teams communicate. It can be incredibly hectic, but amazing to hear regardless. Having peeked behind the curtain at a few esports, we know that you won’t want to miss out on this.

We also heard from Andreas Jessen, EPOS’ senior director of product management and marketing. “We’re really excited to partner with BLAST so we can tell the story of ultimate gaming audio through this exceptional event. As leaders within audio technology, we have unmatched dedication in creating premium headsets that let you truly zone-in and feel the game, while giving you a competitive advantage by bringing out every important sound cue.”

So, keep your eyes out for the incredible BLAST Premier action! The intense CS GO action from BLAST Premier, combined with the Mic’D Up series, there should be something for the fans to really sink their teeth into.
