BLAST, an organization known for its CSGO action is branching out with a new Fortnite FNCS event! The FNCS All-Star Showdown is a new competitive event coming later this month and has a 3 million dollar prize pool. Over three days, we can look forward to incredible Fortnite action. This will act as a mid-year celebration of the FNCS and have the best Fortnite players from around the world competing online, not just in standard Battle Royale combat.

BLAST is going to use its experience in hosting tournaments to bring something new and engaging to the Fortnite community. It’s going to be more than just matchups of the best Fortnite players in the world. There will also be a variety of skill challenges to take part in as well. This will come from brand-new Fortnite Creative maps, that showcase individual player skills. Aiming, Editing and Building are all on display here.

The top trios from each of the previous FNCS tournaments will also compete in a team-based, non-Battle Royale mode during the BLAST Fortnite event. The whole week of action will culminate in a solo Battle Royale competition, separating all top trios to determine just who is the best in each of the server regions. Now that should be interesting! Will teams go after each other first, or deal with their friends at the end? It should be a lot of fun to watch.

But who can join the BLAST Fortnite FNCS All-Star Showdown? The players from the top 30 FNCS trios within each of the seven Fortnite server regions – Oceania, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Brazil, North America East, and North America West. Players have qualified for the tournament by placing in the top 15 teams in each region from FNCS Chapter 2 Season 5 and FNCS Chapter 2 Season 6.

This event will be broadcast globally and localized for Europe, South America, North America East, and North America West. You can watch it on the Fortnite website, Twitch and Youtube, and Twitter. Community streaming opportunities will also be made freely available, so no just having one or two popular streamers controlling the re-streaming.

Perhaps most interesting to this writer, is that BLAST is approaching the event with a focus on player-led features, in-depth storyline telling, elevated in-game production, and global community integration.
