Hearthstone Fire Fest-EVIL Blackrock Crash Week 2 Adds Arch-Villain Rafaam

by in General | Jul, 17th 2019

The Hearthstone Fire Fest-Evil Blackrock Crash week two challenge is kicking off today and it adds some new layers to the event for players to check out. The biggest of these is the addition of a new playable hero that you can use during the Tavern Brawl this week, Arch-Villain Rafaam.

Hearthstone Arch-Villain Rafaam Card

During this week, players will have the opportunity to play as Arch-Villain Rafaam in the Tavern Brawl and get a glimpse at some unique abilities that you can’t find anywhere else. Rafaam is a member of the League of EVIL and the fifth playable hero to be added during the event.

Arch-Villain Rafaam is an Archaeologist that is part of the League of EVIL and is helping the group attempt to save the floating city of Dalaran. The group stole the city for its own during the recent expansion Rise of Shadows before crashing it straight into the Blackrock Mountain.

Veteran Hearthstone players will know that Blackrock Mountain is home to its own set of dastardly denizens and the League of EVIL has its hands full trying to get the city up and running again while dealing with defending the city from the enemies on the mountain.

Your job during the Hearthstone Fire Fest-Evil Blackrock Crash event is to help the league stop the citizens of Blackrock Mountain and work towards getting the ship floating again. This is all in time for the upcoming Saviors of Uldum expansion where you will switch sides and try to stop the League of EVIL.

Arch-Villain Rafaam joins the likes of Hagatha, Dr. Boom, Lazul, and King Togwaggle as the fifth playable hero during the current Tavern Brawl. The original four only allowed you to play as one of four classes in the game, which is a far cry from the usual nine that players can enjoy.

With the addition of Rafaam, though, players will now be able to play as the Warlock class during Tavern Brawls. Warlock players in the normal version of the game will certainly want to check out Arch-Villain Rafaam as playing as him will net you a special card worth adding to your deck.

If you are able to beat all eight of the bosses that are available this week in the Tavern Brawl as Rafaam only, you will be able to receive a golden version of a special Rise of Shadows card that is a must-have for all Warlock decks at this time in the game.

The card is called Rafaam’s Scheme and the golden version of this card makes the effort to get it worth it even if you already have the card in your collection. It costs a meager three mana to use, meaning that you could use it early in the game if you’d want but that’s not advised.

That’s because Rafaam’s Scheme is a card that is best used with patience. It is a spell card that summons a one attack and one health imp. To be fair, that alone is a waste of time since there are far better minion cards that you can summon for much less than three mana.

What makes Rafaam’s Scheme so special is that it upgrades with each turn that it’s in your hand. So, that one/one imp gets better with each turn so it’s worth getting this card into your hand as early as possible and then holding onto it until the latter portion of the match.

If you are able to do this, you will find that you can summon a massively powerful creature that is capable of destroying most minions and clearing the board with a small mana cost. Patient Warlock players will not want to miss out on adding this sweet card to their deck.

The Hearthstone Fire Fest-Evil Blackrock Crash event is going on right now and week two will last for one week. There is a third and final week that will be arriving next week but it will be more focused on a PvP event rather than the Tavern Brawl that we have now.

As such, we recommend that you jump in while you can and enjoy all of the festivities that are offered. For one, if players are able to defeat 25 million Blackrock Mountain bosses in total during the event, Blizzard will reveal the fourth and final Saviors of Uldum card that it’s been teasing for this event.

Though we are playing as the League of EVIL in this event, it will all change next month when the Saviors of Uldum expansion arrives on August 6. Players will assist the League of Explorers as they attempt to stop the League of EVIL and save the world in the process.
