Like any great online multiplayer game these days, Apex Legends has a ton of secrets that are surrounding it. From Easter eggs to hints at other games and properties to teases of what’s to come, there is a lot to discover inside the battle royale game and players are still finding more secrets.

These secrets even include glitches, something that the Apex Legends community has worked hard at discovering in the game lately. Even more so than other games like Fortnite. Players are finding a ton of glitches that allows things that weren’t possible otherwise.

A large portion of glitches started when developer Respawn Entertainment released the firing range training area in the game. A recent streamer discovered yet another glitch in the game in the firing range.

Apex Legends Third-Person Glitch Discovered

Apex Legends Third-Person Glitch Crypto Surveillance Drone

This workaround is a brand-new Apex Legends third-person glitch. It is a bizarre but fascinating glitch allowing players to play around in the training area in third person with every single legend in the game.

You can easily use all of them in third person and see how they would look in normal matches if the normal first-person viewpoint didn’t restrict you. Streamer fifty1percentnow discovered the Apex Legends third-person glitch.

Players who watched the user saw the glitch before being shared in a separate clip on YouTube. In the video, the streamer is in the firing range where they died and respawned back at the firing range cave spawn point.

There, the Apex Legends third-person glitch is easy to grasp and execute in the game. The user switched to Crypto, the most recent addition to the game, and used his drone ability.

With the drone, players can control it and maneuver around the map with ease. In the case of this glitch, the user moved the drone above the player and moved the camera around, pointing it towards the ground.

In the view of the drone, you can somewhat see the figure of Crypto standing there. It is like you are moving the camera to face the player from a third-person point of view. While the drone was out, the player changed to another legend.

They were spawned in as Lifeline, now in the third-person perspective due to the glitch. The user switched to other legends while in third person and the perspective stayed the same.

The player controlled the character using guns, abilities and sprinting around the map. The exciting thing about this Apex Legends third-person glitch is the actual perspective itself.

The game automatically gave an over-the-shoulder point of view kind of like Fortnite, which allows for this camera view. It is contrary to other points in the game where your character is in third person like diving in which the player is centered on the screen.

This implies that the third-person viewpoint is built into the game. It simply requires Respawn, allowing players to use it in the game. It is unknown currently if the glitch in the firing range is intentional or not. It doesn’t give the player an advantage over others.

Issues with Third-Person Glitch Feature

You can’t replicate the third-person glitch anywhere else in the game outside of the training area at this time. The glitch requires the player to switch to another legend on the fly, which isn’t possible in a standard battle royale match.

Since you are stuck with the legend you pick at the start of a normal match, you can’t complete this glitch even if you pick Crypto and set up the drone as the streamer did. It is unless, of course, there is another glitch like this one.

Possibly, Respawn hid this glitch inside of the firing range for players to discover so that they can see how third person is like while experimenting in the training area. You don’t have to own Crypto to complete this glitch since every legend is available in the game mode.

Regardless, it is simple enough to replicate in your own game. It is a great way to see what playing in third person would be like in the game. It is especially important for practicing for the potential release of third-person mode in the game in the future.

Third-Person Could Officially Release in the Future

There are files and hints that leakers discovered some third-person support soon. A permanent feature could allow players to switch between or a limited-time game mode.

We suspect that the latter is the case. Respawn Entertainment is oddly peculiar about adding anything new permanently outside of the surprising second map that appeared in early 2019. Instead, it is keener on testing out new features and game modes for a limited time.

This is the same case that happened with the highly requested solo game mode where players can battle it out competitively against other solo players instead of having a team of three. Though this is a staple in other battle royale games, it was only added to the game for a limited time.

There is no word on the solo mode ever returning as a permanent part of the game. But, we are hopeful, nonetheless. It is likely a similar situation for the third-person perspective could arrive soon. Or, that it could just become a permanent feature in the training area only. No matter what, stay tuned for any news regarding the addition of it right here.
