Respawn Entertainment is partnering up with Amazon to bring Apex Legends players some exclusive cosmetics content for free. This time around, it is another free skin that players can pick up for one of the legends. This particular skin is the new Rampart Custom Finish skin.

New Rampart Skin Released for Free

The new Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin is the latest one to be released for free through the deal that Respawn, EA, and Amazon have. Through this partnership, players have been able to get a ton of free items for the battle royale game, and this is but the latest one.

What is intriguing about the release of this new Rampart skin is that the legend just released in the game, and we already know about her first exclusive skin. Season 6 just launched, and fans of the new character already have a new skin to pick up.

That new skin is the Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin, and it is a great one that will be good for those players who like to stand out among the rest of the swarms of Ramparts who will be testing her out. And the very best part of all of this is that players can get this skin for free.

What the New Skin Is and Prime Gaming Explained

The Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin is the first major exclusive skin that players will be able to get for free for her in Season 6. The new legend just dropped yesterday, and the community is still figuring her out, but that hasn’t stopped Respawn from releasing new content for Rampart.

The Custom Finish skin takes the usual look of the rather sleek hero and makes her way more cool and stylish than ever before. Instead of the usual look for the character, she changes her hair color and outfit to give a different look and feel for the quirky engineer.

In the Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin, Rampart trades her natural hair color for a very light blonde look that is quite different from her usual style. She also has a facial expression that certainly seems more menacing than before and has an outfit that is notably different from usual.

Instead of the standard color scheme for the character, Rampart is sporting an awesome green and purple outfit that looks great and goes well with her new hair color. The right side of the outfit is purple, while the get-up’s left side is sharp lime green.

In particular, the pants are nice as they have this bright purple shininess to them that makes the character stand out more than the usual gear that she has. Overall, it is a solid skin for the character, and it is available for free through the Prime Gaming service.

Now, you might be wondering what Prime Gaming is, and you wouldn’t be wrong to wonder. Usually, posts like this are about the free Twitch Prime skins given out, but this one is about Prime Gaming, and that’s because of a major change recently.

Instead of hosting the usual Twitch Prime loot that players can collect through it and Amazon Prime, Amazon made a massive change to make the free game loot be part of the normal Prime service. Players will now have to go through Prime Gaming to get their free Apex Legends cosmetics. Fortunately, we’ve got your back on how to do it.

How to Get This New Skin for Free

If you want to pick up this skin for yourself and your collection, even if you do not have Rampart unlocked just yet, all you need to do is head to the Prime Gaming website and make sure to have an active Amazon Prime account that you sign into there.

If you don’t have an Amazon Prime account, what you can do is sign up for a free trial, and you’ll be able to pick up the Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin for free while the trial is still going on. Just make sure to cancel the subscription before the trial runs out, you might have an unexpected charge waiting for you soon.

Alternatively, suppose you have used up your free trial offers in the past already. In that case, you could just ask a family member or friend who has a Prime account that they aren’t going to use for Prime Gaming for permission to redeem the skin for your Apex Legends account.

Overall, though, this way of handling the free Apex Legends loot is a little bit different than it was before. Still, it does simplify things tremendously by cutting out the middle man of having Twitch work with Amazon to host these free game cosmetic items.

At the time of writing this, the new Apex Legends Rampart Custom Finish skin isn’t available yet but will go live in a couple of days on Aug. 21. You have time to sign up for or link your Amazon Prime account so that you don’t miss out on this awesome skin for Rampart. And the Pathfinder lifeguard skin is still available at this time, too.
