Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition Released, Great Deal for Pathfinder Mains

by in Apex Legends | May, 28th 2020

It is a great time to be a Pathfinder main as the character is not only in a pretty good place metagame-wise, as we noted in our Apex Legends character tier list, but there is a great deal going on as well. Respawn Entertainment released the Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition this week.

New Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition Now Available

This new version of the free-to-play battle royale game gives existing and new players alike the chance to purchase some cosmetics and currency in the game for a pretty solid price overall. If you are a fan of Pathfinder or just a general collector of cosmetic items, this is one deal you should check out.

The Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition comes with a ton of items for the total price of $20 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. All three platforms have this bundle available and it is more than worth the price of admission given that it comes with a lot of cosmetic items for that one price.

For starters, players will get some cosmetic items that are meant just for everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood robot legend. You will get a brand new legendary skin for Pathfinder that has never been seen before, which is known as the Full Metal Robot Pathfinder skin.

For starters, this is a rather interesting name for a legendary skin in Apex Legends and one that we are fully on board with. The name seems to be a reference to Fullmetal Alchemist, the renowned anime and manga series regarded by many as the very best in the business.

What the New Pathfinder Skins Looks Like

Without going into too deep of spoiler territory for that series, one of the main characters is someone who is made out of a full suit of armor, which is a lot like a robot. As such, there is a lot of room for some excellent crossover there between Apex Legends’ robot legend.

However, oddly enough, the skin itself has nothing to do with its Fullmetal Alchemist-like name. Instead, it looks nothing like that at all and is, instead, seemingly based on a different property entirely. To us, it looks like Pathfinder has been watching a lot of Rambo lately.

The robot legend’s new legendary skin features him looking a bit beefier than usual with a tan top with bullet magazines strung along his frontal side, much like your standard action movie heroes. And on the bottom half, he is wearing some green pants that feel very military-like.

This is before bringing up the red bandana that he is wearing on his head, completing this very Rambo-like look that Sylvester Stallone would certainly be proud of. But this Robot Rambo-like skin is far from the only thing that you will get in the Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition.

New Havoc Skin and More Also Included

You will also get another legendary skin, but this time, not necessarily tied only to Pathfinder. Instead, it is a legendary skin for the Havoc weapon. The First Blood Havoc skin is rather nice and complements the Full Metal Robot skin well.

The bundle is also made better with the Molotov Cocktail gun charm that you can attach to your arsenal and the Lone Bot badge that certainly gives off those lone mercenary vibes. Overall, $20 for this bundle is pretty good but it doesn’t stop there.

The Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition is made complete with 1,000 Apex coins that you can get along with the bundle. This is where the bundle becomes even better and an even greater deal for those players who are collectors or fans of Pathfinder/Rambo.

One thousand coins in Apex Legends cost around $10, so this is already making up half of the asking price for the Pathfinder Edition. When you add in the legendary skin and the other cosmetic items that come along with it, you get a surprisingly excellent deal more than worth it.

Pathfinder Edition Might Not Be Worth It for Some Players

You’ll be able to pick up some exclusive cosmetic items that are legendary for Pathfinder, in addition to getting some Apex coins for when you want to pick up other cosmetic items in the store. That said, it isn’t the greatest deal in the world for all Apex Legends players.

If you aren’t someone who is a Pathfinder main or a general collector of cosmetic items in the free-to-play battle royale game, then it is rather hard for us to recommend this particular bundle to you. It isn’t like some of the other bundles recently that give you a much better deal for everyone.

For example, there is the Apex Legends Fortune’s Favor starter pack bundle also recently released in the game. It came at a great time at the start of season five where Loba is the new hero and star of the season. She is the star of this bundle also available right now.

It is a much better deal, to begin with, because of the lower asking price overall. You only pay $4.99 for this bundle on PS4, Xbox One, and PC but you only get two things with it. You get a single Loba skin that goes pretty well with the new character plus 600 Apex coins to boot.

What makes this bundle much better than the Apex Legends Pathfinder Edition is that you get stuff useful for anyone. Six hundred Apex coins on its own are more than the $4.99 asking price, making this bundle worth it no matter what as you are getting money’s worth even if you don’t like the skin.

But if you do like Loba and/or the skin that comes along with this starter pack, you are even better off with this excellent deal, unlike the Pathfinder one predicated on you needing to like Pathfinder or the Rambo-like skin for the bundle to be worth it.
