2021 LoL Champion Roadmap — New Marksman, Support, and Void Jungler Coming Soon!

by in League of Legends | Sep, 28th 2021

The 2021 Champion Roadmap from Riot is extremely interesting and is packed with a slew of hints and details about the next three League of Legends champions, all of which are bound to leave a mark in one way or another!

As always, we’ve only been given a small foretaste of what’s to come — concrete details will come our way in a couple of months, so if you’re looking for huge reveals or in-depth previews you’re bound to be left wanting. Fortunately, with 2021 Worlds being right around the corner, most of us are preoccupied, so these small little tidbits will definitely suffice for the time being!

Riot 2021 Champion Roadmap

  • First of all, we’ll be getting a brand new AD carry early next year, with a support champion coming right afterward — as in just a few patches later.
  • For the “electrifying” marksman, Riot said the following: “We wanted to create a kinetic marksman who’s always on the move, pulsing with sparky determination. A champ who plays the game at a machine gun pace and brings the feeling of a shooter game to the roster. We also really wanted to explore more unique basic attack concepts in League.” Quite intriguing, to say the least!
  • The second champion — the villainous support — is still fairly elusive and shrouded in mystery. Be that it may, the following few sentences definitely set the stage for what’s to come: “Money runs this city. Technology, power, people. All can be bought when you have enough cash. Technology to reach out and take what you want, discarding it like trash when you’re done. Power to turn your enemies against each other, watching them kill the very ones they swore to protect. In the end they will know your name, the one that truly ran this game, the one calling the shots… the “support.” There’s quite a lot of information here, but it’s impossible to accurately decipher it at this point in time. Regardless, sinister supports always generate a lot of buzz, and this particular one should be no different!
  • Last but certainly not least, an “overwhelming new jungler” will be filling “a void in all our hearts” early next year, so if you’re a fan of Void champions and happen to be a jungler, you definitely have something to look forward to! The last Void champion that was released was Kai’Sa all the way back in 2018, and getting a new one — especially if it’s a full-fledged monster — is more than enough to get us hyped beyond measure!
