Fortnite Week 6 Challenges Guide

by in Fortnite | Mar, 26th 2020

Epic Games is moving things along this week with the Fortnite Week 6 challenges. Players can enjoy the latest batch of missions to complete this week that include a variety of different tasks that range in difficulty. They are worth it, though, for the rewards that you can get.

Fortnite Week 6 Challenges List

The Fortnite Week 6 challenges are out now if you are reading this and are the latest challenges from everyone’s favorite calico cat Meowscles. The popular Season 2 skin and character is one of the five minibosses that you can fight on the battle royale map currently.

He is also the third host of the weekly challenges this season and this week happens to be the second week of missions that he has for players. These are important to do since you can get a special reward for completing almost all of the challenges that Meowscles has offered players.

As such, you will want to know what the Fortnite Week 6 challenges are. You can find the full list of the new tasks this week below:

  • Search through 10 chests at Frenzy Farm or Steamy Stacks
  • Deal 1000 damage to players using assault rifles
  • Search a chest within 10 seconds of landing from the battle bus
  • Deal 200 damage to players while riding in a Choppa vehicle
  • Catch a weapon, a can, and a fish
  • Eliminate five opponents at The Yacht or Salty Springs
  • Destroy three dog houses
  • Block 100 damage with a decoy grenade
  • Dance at Lake Canoe, Camp Cod, and Rainbow Rentals
  • Ride the Steamy Stacks, a zipline, and use a secret passage all in a single match

There is your 10 final batch of Meowscles challenges this week. They are varied pretty well but they might be familiar to the missions this season. They are, for the most part, changed up version of the objectives we have done before.

Regardless, there are some challenging ones this week that might require a bit of help to complete. That is where we come in with our Fortnite Week 6 challenges guide. We let you know what you can do to finish all of these and get their special rewards.

How to Search Chests and Deal Damage

The first challenge requires players to search for treasure chests at Frenzy Farm or Steamy Stacks. We’ve had this particular mission quite a lot this season and, like before, you need to find 10 of them in total.

You don’t have to find all of them in a single match. So, take your time and try to get one or two of them at either location in every match.

We recommend landing at these spots right from the start to increase your chances of finding an open chest. Next up is to deal 1000 damage to players using assault rifles only. 1000 is a lot of damage, but the benefit is that assault rifles are weapons that players mostly use anyways.

This is another one that you can take your time with and just try to get some damage per match. Divided up, that is equal to around five players with full health and shields or 10 players with only full health. Take out one or two players per match with an assault rifle only and you’ll get this.

From there, we have another challenge already that has to do with treasure chests. This is a challenging return of a familiar mission where you need to open a treasure chest within 10 seconds of landing from the battle bus at the start of the match.

It is only one thing that you need to do but it has to be done a specific way. It must be done at the start of the match while you are still gliding down from the battle bus. What you want to do is head for a named location or somewhere where you know a treasure chest is.

Your goal should be to land right in front of the chest so that you are able to open it as soon as you touch the ground. 10 seconds isn’t a lot of time to search for a chest, so it is important that you already know where one is when you land, so you don’t run out of time. Outdoor chest locations are best for this.

How to Deal Damage With a Choppa and More

For the next challenge, you must deal 200 damage to players while you are riding in the Choppa. This is the new vehicle that was introduced recently in Fortnite Season 2. It is the long-awaited helicopter vehicle that lets you and your team finally take to the skies.

Unfortunately, you aren’t really able to deal damage to other players if you are piloting the Choppa (at least not in any easy way). Instead, you are going to want to be one of the passengers riding on the side of the helicopter in order to complete this particular task.

So, first off, it is best to complete this while in the Team Rumble or other team mode in the game. Find yourself a group to go to one of the helicopter locations and grab one while you ride on the side. Then swing around the map, taking out players as you see them.

This is one challenge that pairs well with others like the assault rifles one. 200 damage isn’t a whole lot at all, equal to one player with full health and shields or two players with only full health. Thankfully, you can take your time with this one if you need to and do it across multiple matches.

If you need help finding a helicopter, head to any of the five new named locations on the map in Season 2 as they are the easiest places to find one of the helicopters. Pleasant Park is also a really great place as it is found just on the soccer field there.

Now, you need to catch a weapon, a can, and a fish. Presumably, the game is referring to using a fishing rod to do this in the game. First, you need to find a fishing rod, which is easily found in treasure chests around the map or on the ground near water places like Sweaty Sands and Flopper Pond.

Once you have a fishing rod, head to a river or lake where you see the swirling circle of foam that is on the surface. This lets you know that there are active fish there that you can catch. You need to not only catch a fish for this challenge but a weapon and a can.

What you get is mostly randomized so it may take a while of fishing to do this. Team Rumble is great for this challenge as well but you can also take your time if you need to. Thankfully, not all three of these items have to be found in the same match.

From there, we have a challenge to eliminate five opponents at The Yacht or Salty Springs. This is another standard challenge this season where you have to take out opponents at specific locations. Head to either of these places at the start of a match and you have your best chances of eliminating someone.

This is one that you can take your time with, so if you aren’t the best player, we recommend just aiming for one elimination at these locations per match that you do. This is another great challenge that can be paired with others like the assault rifle one.

Where to Find Dog Houses and Decoy Grenades

With only four challenges left, we come to the ones that are a bit more engaging and hard to do without knowing the locations of places. For this next task, you must destroy three dog houses on the battle royale map. This is an easy mission but you have to know where to go first.

Dog houses are exactly what they sound like: little houses for dogs that are typically behind houses on the map. As such, you are going to want to head to places that have a lot of houses. Our recommendations are Pleasant Park, Retail Row, and Salty Springs as those houses are likely to have a dog house in the backyard somewhere.

All you need to do is destroy three of these in as many matches as it takes you and you will complete the mission. Next up, you need to block 100 damage with a decoy grenade. This is a tricky task and it requires you to first find a decoy grenade.

Your best bet is to search for these grenades inside of treasure chests around the map. Once you have found one, you are ready to do this challenge. The decoy grenade creates a copy of yourself that you can use to defend and distract other players from getting you.

Team Rumble is great for this one since it has respawns if you do die. Your goal is to find an enemy player and use the grenade to make them attack the decoy instead of you. You could also go to one of the NPCs at the five new Season 2 locations and do this on them.

You need to make sure that the decoy blocks 100 damage for you, but it doesn’t have to be all at once, so feel free to take your time here in as many matches as you need.

Where to Dance at Lake Canoe, Camp Cod, and Rainbow Rentals

The last two Fortnite Week 6 challenges are some of the harder ones this week since you might not know the locations of them. For this one, you need to dance at three locations around the map. All of which are landmarks places that don’t have a name like the other big ones.

Again, Team Rumble is best used here as it will give you more time to complete this. Thankfully, you don’t have to dance at all three of them in the same match. You can tackle this one at a time if you want. But if you want to get this done as fast as possible, we recommend grabbing a helicopter first.

The first place you need to dance at is Lake Canoe. This landmark lake is found north of Retail Row and northwest of The Grotto. It is the little lake at the end of the river here. Head here and do any dance you like and you will complete part one.

The second place to head to is Camp Cod, a camp town located on the southern end of the battle royale island. It is directly southeast of Misty Meadows and south of the mountain range that we visited in previous weeks. It is almost its own island but is still somewhat connected to the mainland.

The third and final location is Rainbow Rentals. These are beach houses you can rent on the coast southwest of Holly Hedges and northwest of The Rig. Stand in front of these houses, do a dance, and you will complete this mission.

Where to Find Steamy Stacks, Ziplines, and Secret Passages

The final challenge this week is to ride the Steamy Stack, a zipline, and use a secret passage. These can be done separately in different matches, so take your time with these as they can be hard to find. First up is Steamy Stacks, which is just the named location itself in the northeastern corner.

At this location, ride up the stacks that have fast air coming out of them. Jumping into this will send you flying into the sky to complete part one. Part two is to ride any zipline that you find on the map.

A lot of ziplines are in the southern half of the island, especially near the mountains. There will be ziplines typically making it easier to reach mountain peaks and bases located on them. Finally, you need to visit and use a secret passage.

These tie into a previous challenge where you had to find the secret hideouts. Head to one of the gas stations on the map like the one near Frenzy Farm or Pleasant Park and find the bathroom behind it. Inside will be a toilet you can interact with to go to a secret passage. Just be ready for NPCs to be waiting for you there.

Fortnite Week 6 Challenges Rewards

The rewards for completing these challenges are all the same as the previous missions this season. You will get 40,000 experience for each of them for a total of 400,000 if you complete all 10. However, this week, if you complete most of these challenges and most of the ones from last week, you will get a special mission.

This will be for the Meowscles skin with a Shadow or Ghost variant of him. Think carefully and pick the one that you prefer and it will be a permanent decision.
