Fortnite Week 14 Challenges Guide: Cookbooks, Restaurants

by in Fortnite | Mar, 4th 2021

Here we are again with the weekly release of new missions for players to complete in Fortnite battle royale Season 5. This fifth season is continuing once more with the Fortnite Week 14 challenges release, and they are here to give players more opportunities to earn experience.

Season 5 Continues With Fortnite Week 14 Challenges

When writing this guide for the Fortnite Week 14 challenges, Epic Games has still yet to reveal its plans for the upcoming sixth season except that it is coming sometime this month. We don’t know how long these overtime missions will go on, but it seems like it is nearing an end.

We hear that next week’s challenges will be the last ones for the season, so that is something for players to look forward to, at least. In the meantime, though, there are still at least two more weeks of tasks left. This week continues with the Fortnite Week 14 challenges.

You can find the full list of the Fortnite Week 14 challenges below:

  • Collect four cookbooks at Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs
  • Harvest eight pieces of fruits and vegetables
  • Hire a character using 150 gold bars earned in matches
  • Visit two different restaurant kitchens
  • Drive a vehicle from Sweaty Sands to Pleasant Park
  • Drive a vehicle from Pleasant Park to Lazy Lake
  • Drop off a vehicle at the gas station in either Lazy Lake or Catty Corner
  • Week 14 legendary quest: Deal damage to opponents more than 50 meters away from you (five-part, multi-stage quest)

As you can see, there are the standard seven normal Fortnite Week 14 challenges this week, along with the time-sensitive legendary quest. Unlike the past couple of weeks, like in the Fortnite Week 12 challenges, there is a pretty set theme prevalent this week.

It seems that someone is trying to get players to cook up some meals. There are several quests involved in that, like gathering ingredients, hiring NPC characters, and more. Also, there are a couple of vehicle-themed ones that could be done in quick succession together.

To help you have the best tips and tricks to complete the Fortnite Week 14 challenges, we have our full guide to them below. Let’s get started on earning you some experience before the current fifth season of Fortnite comes to a close.

Where to Collect Fortnite Cookbooks

Starting off this list is one of the most unique quests this week: to collect four cookbooks from either Pleasant Park and/or Craggy Cliffs. These cookbook items are the collectibles this week that players need to locate, and we are here to help you with that.

Unlike some of the other collectible quests this season, this is one where you don’t have to visit another named location to complete it. Usually, there are a couple of items at one spot and a couple more at another spot, requiring you to visit both to complete the task.

But in this case, both Craggy Cliffs and Pleasant Park will get the job done as they both have four or more cookbooks available at each location. However, in all honesty, we do have a preference for which location you should visit for this particular quest.

Craggy Cliffs will work and is smaller, so a bit easier to find everything but Pleasant Park is the subject of not one but two more quests this week, so you might as well knock out a couple of these missions at the same time.

For that reason, we highly recommend Pleasant Park and the Team Rumble game mode for having enough time to find all four cookbooks and still get some of the other missions done in the same match if you wish to. The general idea is to head into the houses that have kitchens in them.

Not every house at Pleasant Park has a kitchen, but the ones that do will have a cookbook waiting for you in there. Simply interact with the item to pick it up and then carry on your way looking for more of them. In general, the houses on the left side are the best ones as almost all of them have a kitchen and cookbook available to be found.

The theme of food and cooking continues in the second quest this week to gather up some ingredients. For cooking this time, you are going to need eight fruits and vegetables. This doesn’t have to be done in the same match. Keep that in mind, as eight is a lot.

In general, you could head to specific locations like The Orchard and other farms that have many vegetables and fruits there. Still, you could also find some just by heading into the various houses at places like Salty Towers or Pleasant Park.

When you go into these houses, you can find produce boxes to interact with to collect fruits and vegetables. You typically get a few of these from each box, so you only need to find a few boxes and open them up to get all of the items that you need for this particular challenge.

Where to Find Different Restaurants

Following up on the last quest that we just did, we come to the next one that has to do with getting enough gold bars in matches to hire an NPC character to join your party. One of the biggest parts of Season 5 is the gold bars that you can collect if you didn’t know.

These are taken from enemies you eliminate, side quests from the NPCs around the island, and so on. You need 150 of them to hire an NPC on the island to join your party and fight alongside you, so be sure to get as many as you can.

That isn’t a lot to have to get. You may already have that many on your character at this time. If so, try and hire an NPC to see if that will work or, if not, that means that you need to collect 150 fresh gold bars and then use those to hire an NPC. Again, Team Rumble will be great for collecting gold bars as you have respawns and more time to eliminate other players.

From there, we continue on the cooking trend in the Fortnite Week 14 challenges. You need to visit two different kitchens that are in the restaurants on the island. So, in this case, the kitchens that we visited in the houses for the cookbooks quest will not work here.

There are several restaurants around the island that you can find that each has a kitchen, but you only need two of them for this quest. In that case, we will focus on two particular restaurants and their respective kitchens that are pretty close to one another.

This way, you will be able to get both visited in the same match if you’d like to. But keep in mind that you don’t have to visit both kitchens in the same match if you run out of time but need to be different ones. First off, the kitchen that we recommend is the Pizza Pit location.

It is northeast of Colossal Coliseum, near the center of the entire island and just south of The Orchard landmark. The other location is in the same desert biome but on the opposite side.

This one is just south of Zero Point and is a landmark location. It is also north of Hunter’s Haven and is best known for hosting the Mancake NPC most of the time. What you need to do for both of these restaurants is to head inside them and then visit the kitchen they have. Once you have visited two kitchens at different restaurants, you are good to go.

How to Drive a Vehicle From Sweaty Sands to Pleasant Park

For the next challenge that we have this week, we have one that involves the next theme of sorts this week: vehicle one. Vehicles are very important this week. A lot of the challenges you have this week have to do with completing missions with them.

Interestingly enough, you can do all three of the next missions in the same match. They feel like a series of sorts that involves doing something related to each other. If done in the right order, it could even be a sequential set of challenges as well.

As such, we will go out of order here compared to how Epic Games and leakers have listed the missions to make the most sense. The first of these missions have to do with driving a vehicle from Sweaty Sands to Pleasant Park.

First and foremost, we recommend that you head to Sweaty Sands as soon as you hop out of the battle bus. This large city has many areas to it, so you are likely to find at least one or two vehicles worth using. If you have a hard time finding one, head to the nearby gas station. You should be able to find one near there as well.

Once you have a vehicle, you need to make sure that you are in the Sweaty Sands named location when you hop into it and start your journey. Otherwise, you will want to drive into the town first. Once you are ready, head east towards the named location of Pleasant Park.

This area isn’t too far away from Sweaty Sands, so you can get this done in a short amount of time. We don’t recommend taking your time or doing any sightseeing, though, as while this is pretty easy to do, the next mission is going to take a little bit longer.

If you want to do this next mission in the same match, you’ll need to make sure you have plenty of time and that the circle will be your friend here. The next challenge is to drive a vehicle from Pleasant Park to Lazy Lake, which is much harder than the first one.

If you did the first one and have time left, you are already in Pleasant Park. We recommend filling up your gas tank at the station in town on the northeastern side and then starting your long journey to the southeast. Lazy Lake is far away, but you can do it if you don’t waste any time or stop except for gassing up. Once you arrive in Lazy Lake, you will be good to go on this one.

Fortnite Week 14 Challenges: Legendary Quest

But for the third and final vehicle quest, this one is easy enough if you have done the previous task of driving from Pleasant Park to Lazy Lake. For this one, you need to drop off a vehicle at the gas station at either Lazy Lake or Catty Corner; you pick.

But if you are already driving to Lazy Lake, there is no reason not to go ahead and head on over to the gas station in the same town as this named location. Then once you arrive in the parking lot of the gas station, hop out of your vehicle, and you will finish this mission.

But we are not fully done with the quests this week just yet as there is one more for players to do: the legendary quest. As always, this one is only here for the week, so you’ll need to do it quickly. It is highly recommended for squads to do this one together.

This week’s legendary quest is to deal damage to opponents that are farther than 50 meters or more away from you. There are five stages, beginning with 1000 damage, then increasing from there to 2000, 3000, 4000, and finally 5000.

That is a lot of damage for one player to do, hence, why you should do this with your team. It is tough since you need to get some mid to long-range damage in, so you will need some solid assault rifles or sniper rifles to get this done.

Our recommendation is to grab three friends who also need this task and head into the Team Rumble mode. You have respawns. Matches take a good while, so you can keep coming back, sniping, and shooting players from far away until you have enough damage for this mission.
