Fortnite Week 13 Challenges Guide
Fortnite Season 5 keeps going along. Epic Games seems to have no intention of ending it anytime soon. We are now far past the 10th and normally the final week of many battle royale seasons as we have now entered the Fortnite Week 13 challenges in Season 5.
Season 5 Continues With Fortnite Week 13 Challenges
While we have had weeks of overtime challenges in past seasons, those were typically announced ahead of time by Epic. But this season is a little weird as the developer is making it just continue onward without much fanfare.
We don’t know the release of Season 6 at this time, but we know that Season 5 is still going to be going until sometime in March. Until then, we at least have the Fortnite Week 13 challenges and potentially, even more, to come in the next few weeks beyond just this.
So, if you are still someone who somehow doesn’t have tier 100 in the paid battle pass by the time this week has rolled around, you can start working towards that with the release of this latest batch of missions. Below, you can find the full list of the Fortnite Week 13 challenges:
- Scan a server at one of the Surface Hub locations
- Throw three fruit while at Hunter’s Haven
- Deal 300 damage to opponents at Hunter’s Haven, The Orchard, and Retail Row
- Deal 300 damage to opponents using pistols
- Take a dip in the purple pool at Steamy Stacks
- Enter the Zero Point
- Destroy five crystal trees
- Legendary quest Week 13: Build various structures (five-part, multi-stage challenge)
As you can see, this week is not much different from the other weeks that we have had in Fortnite battle royale. There are the seven normal missions that we have this week and one extra legendary one that is only going to be available for a limited time.
This week, there is no clear theme other than maybe investigating some of the stranger things on the Fortnite Season 5 island, but that is about it, honestly. However, there is some help that you may need help with regardless due to their specific locations, so here is everything you need to know about how to do the Fortnite Week 13 challenges this week.
Where to Find the Surface Hub
To kick the Fortnite Week 13 challenges off, we have the first one, one of the most interesting ones this week, and that is to scan a server at one of the Surface Hub locations. But to do this, you first need to know where and what the Surface Hubs are.
There are three possible Surface Hubs that you will find on the Fortnite Season 5 map, located at Colossal Coliseum, Hunter’s Haven, and Stealthy Stronghold. You might have seen many of these across your journey in the game this season and not known it.
Any of the three will do for this particular mission but bear in mind that two of these named locations, Colossal Coliseum, and Hunter’s Haven, are typically really popular destinations this season. As such, we are going to focus on the exact location of the Stealthy Stronghold one.
Now that most of the Predator skin players now have it at their disposal, there isn’t much reason to visit this point of interest and see what is there. Sure, there is some loot at this named location, but not much great stuff, so this is our recommended spot for this mission.
When you head to Stealthy Stronghold, you need to head to the underground base near the center of this jungle area. You need to get down there and then look for the tall server location in the corner of the second floor down there by the stairs.
All you need to do is interact with the server device to scan it. You only need to visit one location, and you are good to go, so go ahead and pick the best spot for you.
Next up, the second mission that we have this week is to throw three fruit at Hunter’s Haven. If you did want to go to this location for the first mission, you could easily do that and this one simultaneously. It is a pretty simple but odd mission that Epic Games asks you to do this time around.
For this one, you are going to need at least three fruit items in your inventory. You can find some at Hunter’s Haven in the fruit and produce boxes there, but you may need to head to another location like The Orchard, where fruit is found in plenty.
Once you have three fruit in your possession, head to the Hunter’s Haven point of interest and then hold the fruit. On a controller, you can throw stuff by holding down the left trigger while it is in your hands and then using the right trigger to throw it. Throw three pieces of fruit, and you are good to go.
How to Best Damage Opponents
If the train of missions focusing on Hunter’s Haven weren’t enough already, there is another one that focuses on this spot this week. You need to deal 300 damage to opponents at Hunter’s Haven, The Orchard, and/or Retail Row.
This is a pretty standard mission that we have this week. You need to make sure you deal that amount of damage at one of these locations or using a mix of all of them. 300 damage isn’t a whole lot at all as that equals around three players with full health or one player with full health and shields and another player with just full health.
But, of course, some players struggle with getting that much damage in the same match, let alone at the same location. Fortunately, you have two options for making this easier. The first has to do with the game mode you are in.
We almost always recommend Team Rumble for most challenges during the week. With respawns, you can keep coming back to locations like Hunter’s Haven and dealing more damage until you have 300. But you don’t have to do this all in one match, so you can also take your time, land at one of these locations, deal some damage, and then move on until you have the required amount.
This week’s fourth mission is also one that has to do with dealing damage, and this one is all about a specific type of weapon. Once again, you need to deal 300 damage in total but, this time, it has to be done with a pistol weapon of some kind for it to count.
So, technically, you could do this challenge and the other one simultaneously by heading to one of the locations mentioned above and then using a pistol to damage every enemy you see. 300 damage isn’t a lot, but it is a bit more difficult to do with a pistol.
Again, you don’t have to do this all in one match, but Team Rumble can help get it done quickly. We recommend landing and trying to deal this pistol damage at the start of matches as it will be harder to do it later on when players have better guns.
Where to Bathe in the Purple Pool at Steamy Stacks
The next challenge that we have this week in Week 13 is a really strange one; in fact, one of the weirdest missions we’ve ever had. You will need to bathe in the purple pool that is at Steamy Stacks. So, you need to take a swim in the purple pool that is there.
Of course, given the name of the mission, you need to take a little trip down to Steamy Stacks’ named location. Once you are there, locating whatever this purple pool is should be your first task. There, find the main warehouse factory known as Kevolution Energy.
This main building is where you need to go and, once inside, you need to make your way to the central part of this main building. You will find a pool of probably unsafe purple liquid. But, oh well, the mission asks you to bathe inside of it. Take a dip in this pool, and you are done with this relatively easy task.
The final two missions from the normal batch this week will occur in the same general location and at the center of the map. You need to enter the Zero Point. This is the item that has been at the center of the entire Season 5 theme this year.
Season 5 has been all about the Zero Point that allows people to come from other dimensions and create scenarios where Kratos from God of War can hang out with Master Chief from Halo and so on. The Zero Point is the middle of the map, so you need to find it and walk right into it.
Where to Find Crystal Trees
That is except for the final normal mission this week that is all about being in the same general area as the Zero Point. For this one, you need to destroy five crystal trees. Crystal trees are the purpleish trees located in this central desert.
They are pretty clearly seen around the rocks and other strange features of this area. Several of them are around this central circle around the Zero Point, so you need to find five of them in total and then destroy them with either your gun or your pickaxe. Again, this doesn’t all have to happen in the same match so keep that in mind.
The final mission this week is the legendary one that is only sticking around for a single week. Unlike the others sticking around until the end of the current season, this one will only be here for a week. For this week, you just need to build structures.
It doesn’t matter what it is; it could be a wall, ramp, floor, ceiling, etc. You need to build as many structures as you possibly can. Like other legendary quests, this one has five steps to it. You need to build more structures with every single one that you do.
The first step is 60, which is a lot but can be pretty easily done, while it increases from there to 120, then 180, 240, and finally 300. You get experience for each one that you do, so it pays to do all of them. This is a legendary quest so, while you could do this by yourself, your party’s progress will count as well.
One of the best ways to do this quest quickly is hop into Team Rumble with a full team, gather up a ton of materials, and build all match long. You can get this done in a single match, gaining experience for everyone in your party in the process.
