Fortnite Skye’s Adventure Week 7 Challenges Guide

Epic Games is here once again with the latest challenges for players to complete in Fortnite battle royale. The latest batch of challenges arrived on Thursday, April 2 as expected. They are now known as the Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges and there are a lot of them to complete.

Fortnite Week 7 Challenges Are Hosted by Skye

As we near the beginning of the end for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, we are approaching the launch of Season 3. In addition, this also means that the weekly challenges for this season only have a few more weeks left to go before we start all over again from square one.

However, what is unique about the challenges this season is that Epic Games is picking and choosing different characters from the themed season to be the challenge hosts. Previously how it worked was that there would be a new host every two weeks or so during Season 2.

For the first two weeks, it was Brutus followed by TNTina for weeks three and four and then followed by Meowscles most recently for Week 5 and Week 6. As such, the end of the calico spy cat’s reign is over and it is time for someone new to step up to the plate.

For the next two weeks, the battle royale missions will be hosted by none other than Skye, the only other female in the minibosses group and one of the fan-favorite characters. She will host this week’s Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges and next week as well.

Fortnite Skye’s Adventure Week 7 Challenges

With the start of Skye’s reign as the queen over the battle royale challenges and the penultimate miniboss to do so, she has some new tasks for players to complete this week. Like always, there is a total of 10 new challenges for players to complete ranging from easy to difficult.

You can find the full list of the Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges that she has for you below:

  • Search for seven treasure chests at spy bases around the island
  • Deal 400 damage to other players with either SMGs or pistols
  • Mark an uncommon, rare, and epic item
  • Collect 75 of all three material types within 60 seconds of landing from the battle bus
  • Hide in a creepin’ cardboard at the box factory location
  • Consume 10 foraged items at Weeping Woods or the Orchard
  • Visit The Shark, Rapid’s Rest, and Gorgeous Gorge
  • Escape a vault using a secret passage
  • Visit three of Skye’s coastal campsites
  • Pull a player or henchmen towards you with a harpoon gun

Skye is coming out of the gate swinging with the new challenges that she has for players this week. The Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges are not only really varied and interesting, but some of them are brand new ones that we have never seen before.

As such, it can only make completing them that much harder to do. Without further ado, let’s go ahead and dive right in to take a look at all of the 10 challenges this week, from visiting places to using secret passages, and our tips for how to complete them all.

How to Search Chests, Deal Damage, and Mark Items

The challenges this week in the Fortnite Skye’s Adventure Week 7 challenges kicks off with finding seven treasure chests at spy bases. In previous weeks, we have almost always had one of these challenges to start the list of 10 new challenges for that week.

It’s always the same old thing of finding a certain number of treasure chests across however many matches it takes you. Well, Epic Games was kind enough to change things up this week and make it a little bit harder to do with the locations that you have to visit.

You need to find seven treasure chests but they must all be at spy bases. If you don’t know what these are, they are the secret spy bases that are mostly hosted at landmark and hidden locations around the map with a few minor exceptions.

There are several of them so you should have no problem finding one and getting a treasure chest or two from there. Our personal recommendations are the spy bases under the soccer field at Pleasant Park, the gas station east of Frenzy Farm, and the radio station east of Craggy Cliffs in the hills.

Simply head to any of these locations at the start of a battle royale match to ensure that you can get there first and start grabbing those treasure chests. Beware of NPCs and other players, though, as they are both commonly found at many of these locations.

Seven chests is a lot but, thankfully, you don’t have to do the entire challenge in one match so just visit one or two of these locations in each match and you should be able to get seven within a handful of battle royale matches, especially if you do Team Rumble.

Next up, players must deal 400 damage to players with SMGs or pistols. Another standard battle royale challenge here that can be done across multiple matches if you want. You can use either weapon type for this mission but we recommend SMGs as they are just better overall.

Around four players with only full health or two players with full health and full shields is equal to 400 damage. Just make sure your goal to get a couple of players with an SMG or pistol in each match you do and you should get this done in a few matches.

The third challenge this week in the Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges is to mark an uncommon, rare, and epic item. You have to do all three but they can be in different matches if you want. A mark is the same button on most platforms as your ping for marking locations and enemies.

What you want to do is find one of these items and mark it using the appropriate button for your platform so that your teammates can see that you found it. If you happen to have one of these already in your inventory, just open it up, drop the item, mark it, and then pick it back up. You must do all three rarities for this challenge.

Where to Find the Box Factory and Foraged Items

Next up this week is to collect 75 of each material type within 60 seconds after landing from the battle bus. This is a bit of a complicated one as 75 material isn’t hard to get on its own but it is pretty challenging to find all three types and get 75 of each of them all within a minute.

Our recommendation for this is to head to a location that has all three material types easily available like major cities with brick, wood, and metal including places like Sweaty Sands or Retail Row that have a mix of both available to players.

You don’t want to waste any time so be sure to land right in the middle of some good places to farm for materials as the timer doesn’t start until you reach the ground. So long as you land in the right place, it shouldn’t take but a few farming locations to get all three material types up to 75 each. This does mean, however, that you can’t do this in Team Rumble.

The following mission is to hide in a creepin’ cardboard item at the Box Factory. The former is an easy task as it just involves finding one of these new Season 2 items and hiding in it. But the Box Factory is the interesting part, especially if you don’t know where this is.

The Box Factory is a rather new landmark location where these cardboard boxes come from. It is found southeast of Lazy Lake and southwest of Retail Row, just north of the snowy mountain range and the military base with a helipad that is located there.

Simply head to the factory, go inside, and you will likely find plenty of cardboard boxes with which you can hide in for this challenge. The next challenge is to consume 10 foraged items at Weeping Woods or the Orchard.

For starters, if you don’t know already, foraged items are the items that you can find on the ground and consume like apples, mushrooms, and the like. You need to find 10 of these across as many matches as it takes you and eat them but this has to be at Weeping Woods or the Orchard.

The Orchard is an apple farm located on the northern side of Frenzy Farm while Weeping Woods is, well, a named location. The Orchard is really good for apples while Weeping Woods is great if you head to the campsite in the middle. Regardless, head to either and start eating as many items as you can. It’s okay if you need more than one match for this.

Where to Find Fortnite Rapid’s Rest and Gorgeous Gorge

For the next challenge, we have the most involved one yet. It is the traditional visit three locations mission and the locations this week are brand new ones that we haven’t had this season yet. You need to visit The Shark, Rapid’s Rest, and Gorgeous Gorge.

Keep in mind that you only need to visit these locations and you don’t have to do all of them in a single match, though, you certainly can if you want to. First up is The Shark, which happens to be the easiest one of the three since you likely already know where this place is.

After all, it is one of the five named locations introduced at the start of the top-secret Fortnite Season 2 along with four other places with their own minibosses. This shark island is located in the northwestern corner of the map and its name can be clearly seen there.

However, the second location might be a lot harder for you to find since it isn’t a named location. Rapid’s Rest is a landmark that is located just east of Lazy Lake. It is right next to the river and features a makeshift campsite where a jeep is next to a boat. Visit here and you are good to go.

The third and final location is another landmark known as Gorgeous Gorge. It is also near Lazy Lake, northwest of the named area, to be exact. Follow the river northwest of there and you will eventually come to a waterfall that drops down. The gorge is this area below the waterfall.

Though you don’t have to visit all three locations in a single match, it is certainly possible if you do Team Rumble where you have fewer enemies, more time, and respawns, and you grab yourself one of the helicopters to zoom around the map more easily.

Where to Find Skye’s Coastal Campsites and Secret Passages

The eighth challenge that you need to do involves escaping a vault using a secret passage. This particular mission kind of explains itself as all you really need to do is enter the vault and the secret passage is basically already ready for you to go through once you do that.

As such, the main challenge of this is getting into the vault itself. For this, you need to head to any of the five Season 2 named locations including The Shark, The Yacht, The Grotto, The Agency, and The Rig. Any of those will do as they each have one available.

Once you arrive there, you need to be careful as there are a lot of NPCs to fight here. It is recommended that you bring some friends along and then find the miniboss for that area. Take them out and you will be able to get the keycard to open up the vault there.

From there, opening up the vault is easy as the game notifies you of its location but watch out for sentries and the like. Open it up and then grab as much loot as you want. To complete this challenge, simply use the secret passage in there to escape for your life.

Next is another difficult challenge if you don’t know where to go and that is to find and visit three of Skye’s coastal campsites. There are several locations that we have found thus far (around five in total) but there are three that we recommend that you visit.

The first is near Sweaty Sands, northwest of it. As the name implies, these are all on the edge of the island right by the water. Here in this mainland coastal area, you will find the campsite in the A3 square on the grid-based map of the Season 2 island.

The second that we recommend is somewhat near that one and is on the borders of the C1 and D1 squares. It is north of Pleasant Park and near the edge of the northern section of the map. The third and final one that we recommend you head to is on the eastern half of the island.

It is right near Steamy Stacks, directly southeast of it across the river and on the edge by the water. Head to this third and final campsite and you will complete this challenge. Like others, you don’t need to visit all three in the same match but you certainly can if you want to.

The final challenge this week is to pull another player or henchmen towards you with a harpoon gun. First, you need one of these harpoon guns, so your best bet is to look in supply drops, llamas, or in the treasure chests. Once you have located one, head to a populated area or one of the five Season 2 named locations.

NPCs will be the easiest to hit for this challenge but you can pick other players as well. Regardless, we recommend Team Rumble so you can keep trying if you mess up and have to respawn. Simply equip the gun and aim it at the target and make sure to hit them so they are pulled towards you to finish off this final mission this week.

Fortnite Skye’s Adventure Week 7 Challenges Rewards

As always, the rewards for the Fortnite Skye’s Adventure week 7 challenges are exactly the same as previous weeks. You will get 40,000 experience for each of them that you do for a grand total of 400,000 experience if you do them all this week.

However, if you do most of these missions along with the majority of next week’s as well, you will be able to potentially unlock a new Ghost or Shadow skin variant for the host herself Skye. Stay tuned for next week’s battle royale missions so that you can do exactly that.
