Fortnite Season 7 Week 7 Quests: Where to Find Riot, More

by in Fortnite | Jul, 22nd 2021

Fortnite Season 7 is approaching its seventh week thus far, and that means it is now time for some new weekly challenges for players to complete. The Fortnite Season 7 Week 7 quests have been revealed and they include the Fortnite Riot location mission and much more.

Fortnite Season 7 Week 7 Quests

Following up on the Week 6 quests last week, the Fortnite Season 7 Week 7 quests offer us some mostly themed challenges that revolve around luxury sports cars, collecting items, and more. As with all of the missions this season, there are two different types for you to complete.

The first of these two quest types are the epic quests that are essentially the normal weekly ones we have had in past seasons. They are the standard tasks and will stick around until the end of the season, ensuring that players can complete them whenever they feel like it is in Season 7.

You can find the full list of the standard epic quests this week below:

  • Use a recon scanner to find an enemy player
  • Visit Misty Meadows, Catty Corner, and Camp Cod in a single match
  • Search through five ammo boxes
  • Defeat Riot at the Fortnite Riot location
  • Reach the top speed in a Ferrari 296 GTB car
  • Drive a Ferrari 296 GTB through the storm
  • Complete the Ferrari 296 GTB time trial

This week’s difference compared to last week is that the Fortnite Season 7 Week 7 legendary quests are slightly fewer than we had in the past. There are only five of these that you can do this week, one less than previous weeks in the season, but you can find them all below:

  • Construct a wooden hatchery
  • Mark an alien egg
  • Collect two records from Pleasant Park or Craggy Cliffs
  • Stoke two campfires near different hatcheries
  • Collect two parenting books from Holly Hatchery or Retail Row

As you can see, the epic quests have a lot to do with cars this week, while the legendary quests have several different hatchery and collecting-themed missions. We have the full breakdown below on how to complete all of the quests this week, including the Fortnite Riot location one and more.

Where to Find a Recon Scanner

Starting this week with the epic quests, we have a mission that asks players to use a recon scanner item to find an enemy player. To begin with, you need a recon scanner to do this mission. Before you can complete it, you need to make sure that you have one of these items on hand.

To find a recon scanner, you can usually find this inside treasure chests and the like on the island, but the place that I usually find them is at the satellite bases that IO guards have. There, you can usually find these items in the IO chests or elsewhere at these bases.

Once you have a recon scanner on you, your job then is to use it. The purpose of this item is not to attack enemies with it but to find those near you. I recommend heading to a populated area or the middle of the next circle and constantly using it until you scan an enemy player.

This week’s second mission is to visit Misty Meadows, Catty Corner, and Camp Cod in the same match. We have not had a mission like this in a while, but the premise is simple: visit these three locations in the same match.

The problem here is that you need to make sure you have enough time to do so, so we recommend the Team Rumble game mode for this purpose. From there, you need to know the location of these three areas. Misty Meadows and Catty Corner are pretty self-explanatory as main points of interests.

However, the one that might stump you some is the location of Camp Cod. You can find this landmark spot on the somewhat large island detached from the mainland south of Catty Corner on the southern coast. These three spots are near each other, so it shouldn’t be too hard visiting all of them in a single match, especially if you have a car.

Next up, we have a mission to search through five ammo boxes. This one is a pretty standard quest that we have not seen in some time. You need to open up five ammo boxes. They are usually found inside buildings, and I like grabbing the ones inside houses, like the numerous residences at Pleasant Park.

Fortnite Riot Location, More Epic Quests

The fourth mission this week will require you to find the Fortnite Riot location to complete it. The goal is to defeat Riot but to do that; you will need to know where to find this particular NPC character on the island.

You can find the Fortnite Riot location on the yellow steel bridge that has been used in past challenges in matches. The yellow bridge is east of Misty Meadows and west of Catty Corner, running left to the right between these two points of interest.

When you get to the bridge, make sure to have some equipment on you and plenty of ammo, and then take your first shot at the Fortnite Riot location. You will want to make every shot count if you wish to take down this NPC and complete the associated quest at the same time.

After that, we have a trio of Ferrari-themed quests to celebrate the launch of the new crossover event with the real Italian sports car manufacturer. First up in this trilogy, we have a mission that asks players to reach the top speed in a Ferrari 296 GTB car.

First and foremost, you need to make sure to find a Ferrari vehicle to drive on the island for this and the subsequent epic quests. I have found that just looking around the island for vehicles as you normally would work, but my recommendation is heading to Believer Beach.

Once you have a Ferrari, you need to reach the top speed in the car possible, which is done by heading to one of the main roads and driving on it. You should be able to max out to finish this quest. Once you have hit the max you can while driving on the road, use the Ferrari sports car boost.

Next up, you need to drive the Ferrari through the storm. This is even easier as it just requires you to get a little wild and drive straight into the active storm. It will damage you in the process, but it will also take care of this mission at the same time.

Lastly, for the Ferrari and epic quests this week, you need to do one of the time trials using the Ferrari. I recommend heading to the one at Lazy Lake, where you can also find this sports car fairly often. The time trial is simple: following the hoops and pass through each of them before the time runs out to finish the quest.

Legendary Quests: Where to Collect Records

From there, we come to the five legendary quests this week. We begin with construct a wooden hatchery quest. To do this, you will want to head to the small island found just northeast of the former Stealthy Stronghold named location and northwest of Craggy Cliffs.

On this island, you will find a place where you can build a wooden hatchery. The second mission that is legendary requires you to mark an alien egg. For this, we recommend that you visit another hatchery, but in this case, Holly Hatchery

When you arrive at the location where Holly Hedges is found, you will want to look around for the alien eggs. Once you have located one, you need to ping it for your friends to complete this mission. It will vary how to ping items depending on your input method, but controllers use the left button on the D-Pad by default.

After that, we have a more challenging quest with finding two records from Pleasant Park and/or Craggy Cliffs. What I’ve found is that there are at least two records that are available at either location. So, in general, there is no reason that you should have to visit both of these spots in a match.

Instead, you can pick one of the two locations and head to it to find the two records you need for this mission. Starting with Craggy Cliffs, there are two records that we have located here. They are found on the opposite ends of the cliffside town.

The first is on the west side of town, where the large house in the northwestern corner is found. The second one is on the opposite side of the city on the eastern border in the main factory building.

In general, I have found that the houses on the northern edge of the town are where you will find a record in most of them. But if you would like to go to Pleasant Park instead, as that location may be a little bit closer to the battle bus path for this mission, you will find that there are several records here. That should be more than enough to get the two you need for this Week 7 legendary quest.

Legendary: Where to Collect Parenting Books

The fourth legendary mission that we have this week is to start two campfires near the different hatcheries on the map. We have had missions in the past to stoke campfires, but they are usually pretty broad and will allow you to do them anywhere that you want on the island.

However, in this particular case, the twist this time is to make sure that you start a campfire near the different alien hatcheries on the Season 7 island. There are a few hatcheries on the island, but not all of them will have a campfire near them.

Worse still, the ones that have campfires are in the middle of nowhere. Our recommendation is to head to the hatchery that we had to go to for the previous wooden hatchery mission on the island northeast of Stealthy Stronghold, as there is a campfire in the middle there.

After that, the other campfire that we recommend is at the hatchery directly south of Slurpy Swamp and northwest of the Flush Factory landmark. Like before, interact with the campfire and you will finish this legendary quest.

Finally, this week, we need to find two parenting books from Holly Hatchery or Retail Row. Again, like the other collection one, either location will work as they both have more than enough for this quest. At Holly Hatchery, you will find two books at the house on the eastern edge of town by the soccer field and another north of it at the house in the northeastern corner.

If you prefer to go to Retail Row, you can find two parenting books at the house in the northwestern corner of the city and then at another house just southeast of it. Like the other collection legendary quest, interact with the parenting books to pick them up and you are good to go.
