Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 Challenges List
Season 6 has only been out for around a week or so, so you know what that means: battle pass tiers are highly coveted by everyone and experience is more important than ever. That is why it is imperative that players looking to progress far this season finish off the challenges this week.
The Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges will give some valuable experience that will get players more than well on their way to reaching that highly anticipated tier 100 for the season and the new skin that is waiting for players who are able to reach it in time.
Like last week with the Week 1 challenges for the new season, there are a lot of amazing tasks that players have to do this week in the Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges. You can find the full list of them below, so you can take note of all of them in one place:
- Craft the mechanical bow, the mechanical explosive bow, and the mechanical shockwave bow in Season 6
- Deal 300 damage with the mechanical weapon in matches
- Deal 1000 explosive damage to opponents in matches
- Tame a boar
- Ride five different ziplines
- Obtain four literature samples from Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, or Retail Row
- Get a headshot with a bow weapon
- Week 2 legendary quest: Deal damage with bows (five-part, multi-stage quest)
As you can see, the cycle continues this week with eight new Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges for players to do for experience. There is a lot of new stuff this week like expanding upon crafting new weapons, taming animals, and obtaining the new literature samples items at various locations.
That is where we come in as we are going to give you some tips and locations for how to complete all of the Fortnite Season 6 Week 2 challenges this week. Without further ado, let’s go ahead and get started with everything you need to know to complete these missions this week.
How to Craft Different Bows in Fortnite
Starting off this week’s set of missions, we have a rather big one. This first quest is to craft not one but three different bows in the battle royale game. This is something that is going to take you some time in matches as well as a good bit of materials in order to complete.
First up, we have the mechanical bow that players will need to craft in a match. If you haven’t touched the new crafting system in Season 6, this is where you will need to start. First off, you will need to pick up one of the makeshift bows that are sitting around the island.
They are pretty common so it shouldn’t be hard to find one; the rarity of the bow does not matter so long as it is makeshift. Once you have the bow, what you need to do is make it a mechanical classic one. This requires you to go into the inventory menu, switch to crafting, and make the item there.
The recipe for the mechanical bow is a simple one: you just need four pieces of mechanical parts in order to do it. The hard part, then, is finding the mechanical parts on the island. Thankfully, these are found by destroying various equipment around the island, like tractors, cars, and the like.
Occasionally destroying them will grant you not just the usual metal materials but the mechanical parts as well. Once you have four of these, be sure to craft and that is just part one of this. The next part will require you to upgrade the mechanical bow to a better version.
You can either continue onward with the bow you already created or find one of the mechanical bows around the island, though, this is pretty rare. Once you have a mechanical bow, you need to craft both a mechanical explosive one and a mechanical shockwave one.
The first is the explosive one, requiring you to get a whopping six normal grenades into your inventory. Fortunately, grenades are easy to come by so just open up those chests, look around on the floor, and then craft this bow once you have the chance.
The next one is the shockwave one that requires you to have the special shockwave grenades. Again, open up those chests until you have enough and then craft this bow. You don’t have to do all three of these in the same match but doing this in Team Rumble where you have time and respawns will make this a bit easier.
Speaking of Team Rumble, this game mode is going to be great for the next one as well. The second mission this week is to deal 300 damage with the mechanical weapons. This could be one of the aforementioned bows that we created above but it could be a classic shotgun, assault rifle, etc.
You just need to deal 300 damage with it, which is equal to around three players with full 100 health or a player with full health and shields and one player with only health. This doesn’t have to all be done in the same match but it helps to do it in Team Rumble if you want to get it done quickly.
How to Tame a Boar
Following up on that is the next quest, which is to deal 1000 explosive damage. Now, this is a lot more damage than the last one but the great thing is that it is easy to deal explosive damage in Season 6. You can, of course, grenades and the like as usual with Fortnite battle royale.
Alternatively, though, you can focus on the new bow types that have been released this season. The various explosive bows that are available will give some nice damage to players in matches so you can use that to definitely deal some explosive damage for this quest.
The problem with this mission is that you need to get 1000 damage on opponents. This is more than three times the previous quest, so you are going to have to spend a lot of time dealing some explosive damage. For this purpose, Team Rumble is absolutely recommended for the respawns and time that you have to keep coming back and dealing more explosive damage easily.
Following up on that is the next quest in which you need to tame a boar. One of the other new features this season is the ability to deal with animals and wildlife on the island. You can hunt them down for materials or you can tame them even and have them be friendly to you.
One of the animals on the island is the boar. The best place to find these are in the Weeping Woods area of the map where the forest is filled with various boars and other animals roaming around. What you need to do first, though, is to find some food on the map.
This can be apples or cabbage or whatever food item that you are able to find. Once you have it, approach one of the boars on the island and then throw the food item near them. This will cause the boar to start eating it. Get close to the boar and interact with it to tame it for this quest.
Where to Find Fortnite Literature Samples
Following up on that is a pretty simple mission that is oddly boring and something that you will likely remember from past seasons. You need to ride five different ziplines around the island and that is it. The key thing to note here is that they must be different ziplines so not the same ones.
Fortunately, you do not have to ride all five of them in the same match so long as you make sure not to repeat them. What’s great about Season 6 is that there is yet another emphasis on the ziplines in this season. That is due to some of the major map changes on the island.
Season 6 includes some great new locations like The Spire that is a solid spot for completing this particular quest. The Spire is at the center of the island, home to the lumbering tower that includes the Zero Point and a town that is centered around it.
This location is like the new Salty Towers from last season, becoming a very popular spot for players to land at when starting out a new match. As such, you should be very careful but we do recommend that you head to this location for this quest.
You see, the huge tower known as The Spire is hard to get up to as it will take you a good while to climb its steps. However, The Spire has some ziplines that are connected to it. You will likely find all five of the ziplines that you need for this quest at this location so just look around and interact with them when you are close to complete this quest.
The next mission is one of the most interesting ones this week and that is to obtain four different literature samples from various locations, including Pleasant Park, Lazy Lake, and Retail Row. In general, we have found that there are two samples that are located at each of the three spots.
In this way, you just need to visit two of the three locations, find all of the literature samples at each of them, and then you are good to go. For this reason, we highly recommend that you visit Retail Row and Lazy Lake as they are near each other.
You can definitely finish off this quest in a single match if you head to both of these locations, especially if you are in the Team Rumble game mode. First up, there is the Lazy Lake location. The easiest one to find here is at the gas station on the southern side of the area.
Head inside the gas station and you will find the rack that has items like magazines and the like. Interact with it and you are good to go. Next up is another location that is on the southern side of the town. Head to the spa that is here and head inside to find another rack with a literature sample waiting for you.
Next up is Retail Row. This one is super easy since you will be able to find the literature samples in a rather obvious place. You just need to head to the bookstore that is in the southeastern side of the town. Inside, you will find a bookcase where there are some samples for you to interact with and collect for this mission.
Season 6 Week 2 Legendary Quest Guide
From that, we come to the next mission, which is to get a headshot with a bow weapon. That is literally all that you will need to do for this quest. Bows are rampant all over the island this season and so you should have no problem finding them, especially if you pair this with the first couple of missions.
Once you have a bow, it is time to get yourself a headshot on the island. Again, Team Rumble is great for this as you will have respawns in the event that you mess up the headshot and get taken out. You can just come back into the match and try it all over again.
The key thing about the bows is the fact that they are not like other weapons in the game. In a way, you need to charge them up in order to use them. While holding the bow, hold down the left trigger if on a controller in order to start aiming with it.
What you will see is the aiming line that will begin from the bottom of the ground and then move up as you charge. This will allow you to accurately aim where your arrow is going to land. Once you have charged up, you can then shoot it at the head of an enemy. The tricky part is getting enough time to pull back the arrow and land the headshot.
The final challenge this week is the legendary quest. This quest is only available for this week so if you want the excellent experience rewards from it, you will need to do it as soon as possible. The quest this week is to deal damage with bows.
The required damage begins at 2500 in total and then increases by 2500 for each of the five stages until it reaches 12,500 damage necessary for this legendary quest. That is a whole lot of damage and this is going to be very hard to do because of it.
As such, it is meant for four players so be sure to grab three friends, make sure to only pick up bows, and then do the Team Rumble game mode where you are able to keep coming back and dealing more damage with bows. It will likely take a lot of matches but you can do this if you have some teamwork. Good luck!
