Fortnite Season 6 Week 12 Quests: How to Raid an Artifact, More
Epic Games has revealed the Fortnite Season 6 Week 12 quests are here, and they are very special in that they usher in a new era for the game. There are eight quests to do this week, including the popular Fortnite raid an artifact quest and others.
Fortnite Season 6 Week 12 Quests Are the Final Ones
What makes the Season 6 Week 12 quests in Fortnite so interesting is that they are the final batch of them this season. Season 6 is coming to a close in the next week. Players will only have until then to complete everything offered in this current week.
As such, the new quests this week are pretty limited in terms of the time that you have to finish them off, so we recommend tackling them over the weekend if you have the chance. Once Season 7 arrives, you will no longer be able to complete any of these quests for their rewards.
New quests will pop up in the game. Instead, you will be able to do those, but any progress you made on these missions in Season 6 but did not finish will be for naught. Here is the full list of the Week 12 quests so that you can easily find them and do them:
- Visit the Zero Point landmark
- Craft three pistols in the crafting menu
- Defeat one of the Spire Guardians
- Hunt down three predators
- Tame a boar outside of Colossal Crops
- Use the chicken glide at Colossal Crops
- Fortnite raid an artifact quest from Stealthy Stronghold and Coral Castle
- Legendary quest: Spend gold bars
As you can see, the final week of the Season 6 quests follows the same pattern set by the previous weeks, like the first extension week in Week 11 last week. There are seven normal ones that you can do that grant you experience, plus the legendary quest that is limited.
Interestingly enough, these quests are much time-limited in the same way as the legendary quests since the new season is around a week away at this time. With that being the case, there is a lot of experience up for grabs if you can complete these before Season 6 is over. Here’s how to complete all of them, including the Fortnite raid an artifact quest.
How to Craft Pistols
To start this week, we have a couple of easy ones that are nothing special at all. The first one up is to visit the Zero Point on the island. All you need to do is head to this landmark location, get close enough to see the notification of quest completion pop up, and you are good to go.
The catch is that you must know where the Zero Point is located, but that is probably not too hard for players around since the start of Season 6. But if you do not know where this landmark location is, you need to head to the island’s center.
The Agency once was and now The Spire is located today is where you can find the Zero Point. The item at the center of the event leading from season 5 to season 6 is still there, but this time around, it is at the top of the Spire tower.
Just heading to The Spire named location will not be enough to complete this quest as it is mainly focused on the titular tower and the town surrounding it. Instead, climb up to the top of the tower to get close enough to be in the Zero Point landmark. When you reach the top of land here from the battle bus, you will complete this quest.
Next up, we have another simple one that has to do with crafting three pistols. What this means is that you need to, first, find a makeshift pistol somewhere on the island. These are not too hard to find, especially early on in the game, as ground loot or in chests.
You need the makeshift pistol, which you can then use to craft a better version for this quest. Once you have a pistol, you need to find materials to upgrade it. This could be animal bones taking out animals on the island or mechanical parts from destroying vehicles and other heavy equipment.
Once you have the required materials for one of these, head into the crafting menu and then make yourself a new pistol. Doing so will complete the first part of this quest, but you need to craft three pistols in total. Our recommendation is to focus on upgrading one per match that you are in. This will only take you a little while to complete.
How to Hunt Predators
For the third mission this week, you need to defeat a Spire Guardian on the island. For those who do not know, the Spire Guardians are the new NPC enemies released in Season 6. They are guarding The Spire itself, but other locations around the island as well.
Your first option is to head to The Spire. You can usually find the Spire Guardians there. They are not usually on the tower itself but in the town that is around it. If the town is too popular and filled with other players, or you do not want to go here, you could always head to one of the Spire outposts.
These are found at the end of the Primal branches that you can see on the main map heading out from The Spire in the middle. At the end of these arms are Spire outposts to find a Guardian or two protecting that location.
What you need to do is defeat one of the Spire Guardians. They are not easy to defeat as they are powerful and have a decent amount of health, so we recommend bringing a couple of friends with you and some good gear if you want to finish this challenge.
Next up is one of the more popular quests this week, as it has some players wondering where to go and what to do, and that is to hunt three predators on the island. Predators, first and foremost, are the animals on the island that are, well, carnivorous.
They are going to be the boar, wolf, and raptor. These three are the ones that you will need to hunt down for this quest. Now, while you need to hunt down three of them, it does not matter what combination of the animals that you hunt for this challenge so long as it is three.
You could hunt down three boars, for example, since they are one of the easier predators to defeat. The hard part for this is finding the predators first, as they are a bit random in their locations from match to match.
But we do have one place that I always like to head to for quests like these: Weeping Woods. I find that the forest location is usually home to one or two of these predators in most matches that I do, so it is a great place to look around and hunt down some animals for this quest.
How to Chicken Glide at Colossal Crops
The next quest in this final week of missions is to tame a boar outside of Colossal Crops. This one will be a bit tricky since you have a specific location that you need to head to for this quest. Given that boars are randomly generated, you are not always guaranteed to find one near Colossal Crops.
However, fortunately, this is one of the better locations for finding boars on the island, so it should only take you a couple of tries to find a boar here at this location. When you do, you need to make sure not to hunt it down like in the previous quest but to tame it for your army.
There are a couple of ways you can do this. It comes down to your personal preference plus the items that you can scavenge in the match. Before heading to Colossal Crops and trying to find a boar, you need to make sure that you have one of these two taming methods figured out.
The first is to make yourself a hunter’s cloak in the crafting menu. This will take some somewhat difficult materials to find, so it may not be the best solution for quickly completing it. Instead, the easier way of doing this is the other method.
This is by finding some food items, like vegetables and fruits, in the food boxes that you can typically find in houses. Pick them up and then find yourself a boar. Equip the food item and throw it in front of the boar. The animal will then try to eat it and be vulnerable for a moment.
This gives you the chance to get up close and tame it, completing this quest in the process. For the following quest, you need to make sure to chicken glide at Colossal Crops. This also has to do with the location of Colossal Crops and some animals, so bear in mind that this comes with the same warning that it may take you a few tries.
Chickens are, thankfully, pretty common at Colossal Crops but they are not always guaranteed. Once you find one, though, be sure not to kill it at all. What you need to, sadly, do is chase it down until you can interact with it.
This will get you to pick up the chicken and carry them over your head, The Legend of Zelda-style. To do the chicken glide mechanic, you need to jump from a higher-up location while you have the chicken on top of your head. Just have a friend build you some ramps or jump off of a hill and glide to your heart’s content to finish this mission.
Fortnite Raid an Artifact Guide
The final normal quest for this week and this season is the Fortnite raid an artifact one. This mission asks you to raid an artifact from both Stealthy Stronghold and Coral Castle. This will be the most confusing quest if you do not know where the artifacts are found.
Let’s start the Fortnite raid an artifact quest with Stealthy Stronghold. When you get to this named location, you need to look for one of the artifacts here and interact with it. Fortunately, the great thing is that there are several of them at this one named location alone.
They are in the central part of the named location near where the ruins are found. When you explore the ruins in this area, it is easy to find one of the artifacts for this quest in them. Pick it up by interacting with it.
In the second part of the Fortnite raid an artifact challenge, go to Coral Castle. Keep in mind that you do not have to do both of these in the same match, so feel free to divide them between matches if you would like. There are a few of these here, too, and they are mainly in the central part of the named location.
They are near the castle at Coral Castle. Some of them are in more obvious positions, like the one in the center of the titular castle location. Like before, interact with it to pick it up and getting an artifact from here will complete this quest.
Week 12 Legendary Quest
The very last quest in Season 6 before we say goodbye is the legendary one. This is a five-part quest that is meant for a full team of four players, so gather together some friends and get ready to spend gold bars together and part ways with this sixth season.
In total, all five stages will ask you to spend around 750 gold bars. That seems like a lot but divided up between four players, which is nothing at all, with less than 200 per person. You could easily spend that much in a single match by visiting a few different NPCs.
You just need to gather up some gold bars if you do not have enough just yet and head to NPCs to hire them for your team, buy their weapons, and any other option they have to spend gold bars. Once you have spent 750 in total, you will complete the fifth and final part of this legendary quest.
It is a pretty easy one overall, but it is here because Epic Games wants to ensure that players are using up their gold bars while they still can. Like with the jump from Season 5 to 6, the new Season 7 will see the gold bars reset once again (but stay in the game), so what you have earned up until this point will go back to zero soon. This is a great way to encourage players to spend those bars before Season 6 is over.
