Fortnite Season 4 Week 7 Challenges Guide: Tony Stark’s Hidden Lake House Laboratory Location

by in Fortnite | Oct, 8th 2020

Epic Games has released the Fortnite Week 7 challenges this week in Season 4 of battle royale. The latest season of the game is somewhat approaching the end of its time here as we have a return to pretty solid missions after the bit of stumbling that occurred for the first time this season in Week 6.

Fortnite Week 7 Challenges List

In total, there are seven missions that players have to do this week as part of the Fortnite Week 7 challenges. These challenges follow the repetition for some of them used in previous weeks this season, but there are enough new tasks to make it exciting and fun.

You can find the full list of the Fortnite Week 7 challenges that are available this week below:

  • Search for seven treasure chests at Catty Corner
  • Get three eliminations at Craggy Cliffs
  • Enter the Vault in Doom’s Domain
  • Destroy three cobwebs at The Authority
  • Find Tony Stark’s Hidden Lake House Laboratory
  • Drive a car from Sweaty Sands to Misty Meadows in less than four minutes without getting out once
  • Deal 1000 damage after knocking an opponent back with Storm’s Whirlwind Blast

As you can see, these seven missions do have the same general theme of finding treasure chests and getting eliminations, but there are new ones, too, like the cobwebs and Tony Stark’s hidden lab that will make this week an interesting one.

With a few more weeks left in Fortnite Season 4, it is imperative that players who want to reach tier 100 and get that highly coveted Iron Man skin and haven’t already should do as many missions as they can before Season 5 rolls around. Here are our tips and tricks for completing the Fortnite Week 7 challenges this week.

How to Search Chests and Get Eliminations

The first of the Fortnite Week 7 challenges is searching for the usual treasure chests that we do every week. This time around, players need to find seven treasure chests at Catty Corner. If you don’t know Catty Corner, that is one of the newer named locations on the map this season.

It is in the southeastern corner of the map near Retail Row and Lazy Lake. It is basically in the corner of the island, perhaps being the reason for its name, and you need to head here to find some chests. Unfortunately, Catty Corner isn’t exactly a very big place.

There aren’t too many chests found at this named location, so you want to land here first to try and get at least one, if not more in each match you do. Because you need seven, it is best to do this in Team Rumble to lessen the competition, but you will probably still need a few matches to get this one.

This week’s second mission is to get three eliminations at Craggy Cliffs, which is totally on the opposite side of the map from Catty Corner. You will need to head to the northern tip of the island to visit this location and, hopefully, get some eliminations while you’re here.

You need three in total, so Team Rumble can be a big help if there are many enemies here. But given its location on the map, that is unlikely to happen in Team Rumble, so you might be better off in normal battle royale matches. Land here first, gear up and try to take out an enemy in every match you’re in, and you can get this done in a few matches.

How to Enter the Vault at Doom’s Domain

Next up is to enter the vault at Doom’s Domain. Doom’s Domain is one of the new Season 4 named locations where the villainous Dr. Doom has taken over Pleasant Park and made it his base. You need to unlock the vault to defeat the villain and take his keycard to open it.

He is found on the northern side of the former town of Pleasant Park in the base there. We recommend grabbing a group of friends and working together to take the supervillain down and then grab his key so that you can enter the vault and complete this mission.

Of course, all you need to do is enter the vault at that location; you don’t have to open it yourself. This means that someone can open it for you, like a teammate or some random player, and you need to walk inside to finish this task up.

For the following challenge, this is an exciting one that we have never seen before, and it is to destroy three cobwebs at The Authority. As you probably already know, The Authority is one of the most popular destinations on the island with its very nice central location.

When you arrive here in Season 4, you can find that The Authority isn’t doing so hot compared to the previous season, where it was one of the focal points of that time. Because it was damaged and abandoned at the start of Season 4, it is now getting cobwebs in various places.

You need to head into The Authority and look for the cobwebs that are dirtying up the named location. You can find these all around the building, both inside and outside. When you see one of the spider-made spots, all you need to do is destroy it.

It isn’t hard to do at all, so we recommend using your pickaxe to take out the cobweb, but you can use your gun if you need to. Finding three shouldn’t be hard so long as you head here early on in the match before other players can destroy all of the cobwebs and clean up the place.

What is interesting about this mission is that it happens only in the second week (and first full week) of October. Is it possible that Epic Games is embracing the spooky season and getting ready for the Halloween festivities that will likely happen later this month? That is something that we will have to wait and see for now.

Where to Find Tony Stark’s Hidden Lake House Laboratory

The next mission is another brand new one in Fortnite. It is rather interesting as we need to visit a hidden location. Because it is well hidden on the island, you might not know about this location before doing this challenge.

The location that we need to visit is Tony Stark’s hidden lake house laboratory. There are a couple of hints that we have just from the name, and that is it is related to Iron Man, it is in some lake house of sorts, and there is a hidden nature to it.

Well, this narrows it down to only one place that it could be, and that is near Tony Stark’s own named location of Stark Industries. In the formerly massive Frenzy Farm location, Stark Industries has taken over this area and made it the base of their operations.

The southern side is where you can find Iron Man and his base, but a massive lake has appeared in the bubble of this named location, sort of on the northeastern side of the area. This is the lake referenced in the challenge, and there is a house near here.

The house that we need is directly east of the lake and can be seen pretty well on the island’s main map. Head to this lake house, and you are almost done with this mission. The final part is that you need to find the hidden lab that Tony Stark has at this house.

This part requires you to go underneath the lake house as that is where the hidden lab is. Just visiting the house itself will not be enough for this mission as you have to find the hidden lab that Iron Man has here. But doing that will complete this mission.

How to Deal Damage After Using Storm’s Whirlwind Blast

That leaves us with just two more Fortnite Week 7 challenges to do. This week’s penultimate one is to drive a car from the named location of Sweaty Sands to the other location of Misty Meadows in under four minutes without ever leaving your vehicle once during the drive.

We’ve had these a few times this season, but this might be the hardest one yet, due to the sheer distance and the amount of time you have. Four minutes is definitely enough to do this without getting out of your car once, but there are some things you need to make sure of.

For one, you will need a vehicle even to attempt this task, which is the first step. You can find cars in Sweaty Sands and at the gas station near it but feel free to visit the nearby locations as well if you are having a hard time finding a car.

Once you have a vehicle, make sure to either find a gas can or fill up the car at the nearest gas station before leaving since you aren’t allowed to leave the car before you reach Misty Meadows. You want this bad boy filled up completely, so you don’t have to worry about gas.

Once you are ready, make sure to leave Sweaty Sands and make your way to Misty Meadows. The best option is to follow the roads south of the named location towards Holly Hedges and then through Weeping Woods and the like to reach Misty Meadows finally. Depending on the car and other people on the road, it shouldn’t be an issue to get there in the allotted time.

This week’s final challenge is to deal damage after knocking back an opponent using Storm’s Whirlwind Blast superpower. There are a couple of ways to approach this, but the Marvel Takeover limited-time mode is your best bet for doing it.

In this game mode, you are given a power immediately in the game and can quickly find other powers as they fall out of the sky. You are more likely to find Storm’s powers here eventually and when you do, use it on opponents to knock them back and then deal damage to them.

The alternative option is to head into other matches and then find the Quinjet locations where you can find superpowers on the supply drones that fly around here. Just take them out, and you have a chance of getting Storm’s powers, but your options are more limited at the Quinjet spots.

The problem with this challenge is that you have to 1000 damage after knocking them back, which is quite a lot. Even with a player with full health and shields, you are looking at 200 damage max from them. That would be five players alone that you would need to eliminate.

Marvel Takeover is imperative for this mission. It will likely take you a few matches to get this done.

Fortnite Week 7 Challenges Rewards

Like every week thus far in Season 4, the Fortnite Week 7 challenges will give the same reward as always: some experience. This week’s experience is no different from past weeks, giving you 25,000 XP per mission that you complete this week, which adds up, so don’t miss out.
