Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 Challenge and Reward Guide
It’s Thursday again, so it is time for the next set of Aquaman challenges to appear. Or, well, for the new challenge to show up as there is only one this week. The Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 challenge is available. Players can start completing it on the way to earning that sweet crossover skin.
Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 Challenge
Fortnite Season 3 is trudging along nicely with the release of the third week of content now available. Though there haven’t been major changes to the map just yet after the launch like reducing the water and discovering new named locations, there is stuff like the new Summer Splash event.
And also, there are the standard Week 3 challenges that you can do as well for earning some awesome experience and working your way towards getting that coveted tier 100 reward in this season’s battle pass. But the weekly challenges wouldn’t be complete without the new Aquaman mission.
As such, there is a new Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 challenge that you can do this week to let you work towards unlocking the skin later down the road. Though you will have to wait a bit to be Aquaman in Fortnite, there is a special reward that you can get this week by doing this mission.
Here is the Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 challenge that is available this week:
- Catch two different types of fish in Fortnite
That is it. All you need to do is channel your inner fisher person and go out there and collect two fish. The catch is that they must be different fish. It isn’t exactly a hard task, but it can take a little bit of time and certainly take you away from doing the match itself or completing other challenges this week. Here’s how to do it.
Tips for Catching Different Fish
When it comes to this week’s Fortnite Aquaman challenge, you need to catch two different types of fish. This means that you can’t just catch two fish like two Floppers, but you must get fish that are different from one another. That is all you need to do.
If you have been around since the start of this chapter, likely, you have already become an expert in fishing. If that is the case, then it is likely that you might not need too much help with this mission, but for those who are new to this chapter or just didn’t fish much before, we’ve got your back.
Before you can go fishing and finding the two different specimens, you will need a fishing pole. Fortunately, where there are fish and bodies of water, there is a chance that you will find a fishing pole nearby that you can use to get them.
But there is so much water in Season 3, so it can be overwhelming at a glance. Our recommendation is to head to Sweaty Sands, a named location surrounded by water and all about that fishing life. When you get here, look for fishing poles in a variety of places.
It is possible to find them in treasure chests, sitting on the ground as normal loot, or in baskets with other fishing rods. Once you have one, you are good to go so long as you head to some water nearby. What you are looking for are circles of white foam on the surface of the water.
Equip your fishing rod from your inventory and use it while in front of the circles to toss your line in and, hopefully, catch something in the process. It is possible to get trash and other items besides fish, so it could take you a bit to find two different fish. If you aren’t having much luck, you might want to try a different location.
And time is of the essence, so we highly recommend that you do this mission in the Team Rumble mode. There are fewer players here, so there aren’t as many enemies who can attack you while you are vulnerable and fishing.
You can do this mission in Party Royale, the violence-less game mode where you can fish to your heart’s content, but we wouldn’t count on it, but feel free to try that out in the off-chance that you can do this challenge there.
Fortnite Aquaman Week 3 Reward
Once you have found two fish and leave the match that you are in, you will get your reward for this Fortnite Aquaman week 3 challenge. The reward this week is a special item that you can’t get anywhere else. It isn’t the greatest reward in this crossover event, but it’ll do.
Initially, there were leaks and rumors that you would get the Trident pickaxe this week, but that has since been pushed back. Instead of that awesome reward, you will get the Sea Shaka sticker emote this week that you can use. It isn’t that good at all, but it’ll do for now.
As in the past couple of weeks, you will have to wait a little while longer if you want to get the actual Aquaman crossover skin itself. It seems that it will likely be available after five weeks or so in this season, so we still have a few more weeks left before it arrives in Fortnite battle royale. Stay tuned for the week 4 challenge and reward in this Aquaman event next week.
