FIFA 21 Season 4 is out! It was released on Friday, Feb. 12. Yep, it’s been live for almost two weeks now! What has it brought to FIFA Ultimate Team players? Well, 30 new levels packed with excellent rewards, Icon Swaps 2, a bunch of new objectives, storyline players, and potentially winter refresh cards.

Are you more of a singleplayer FIFA fan? If yes, check out our FIFA 21 Career Mode tips!

FIFA 21 Season 4 101

The previous three seasons brought us a lot of goodies. I have to admit I love this seasonal approach to FUT. It’s been an absolute game-changer. However, is there something special about FIFA 21 Season 4 that makes it worth more than its predecessors?

Well, it’s pretty standard in terms of content, kind of what we’ve all expected before the release. Let’s take a closer look, so you know what we’re referring to!

Season 4 Progress

This is the most fun part, at least in my books. The all-new FIFA 21 Season 4 brings forth a new list of 30 levels for you to climb. It’s the fourth set, and it packs a similar mix of nuisances like balls and kits, coupled with useful stuff like packs, loan cards, and player picks.

Once you reach level 15, you’ll get to pick one of the following storyline player cards:

  • Waldschmidt from Benfica (85 OVR)
  • Sensei from Feyenoord (85 OVR)
  • Dembele from Guangzhou (85 OVR)

Once you reach level 30, you’ll get to pick one of the following storyline player cards:

  • Adnan Januzaj from Real Sociedad (88 OVR)
  • Mattia De Sciglio from Juventus (88 OVR)
  • Ryan Sessegnon from Hoffenheim (87 OVR)

There’s no telling which of these three should be your storyline pick. They all look outstanding, assuming they fit into your primary squad, of course. Check out the full list of FIFA 21 Season 4 rewards here.

New Objectives

The fourth FUT season also features brand-new objectives. We’re not just talking about weekly challenges either! The Future Stars event is still going on, and you can snatch high-rated players by playing a series of matches with them and developing their cards as you go. It’s an interesting concept, well-worth the hassle since you’ll get a player worthy of building a squad around.

Talking about objectives, Icon Swaps 2 are here, lads! Here’s a closer look!

Icon Swaps 2

That’s right; you can skip the FGS nonsense and start building your icon swaps players to trade in for awesome packs and high-rated icons! Icon Swaps 2 are coming in hot with 15 rewards in the first set, three of which don’t guarantee an icon.

As for the brand-new icon cards, here’s a quick look.

Here’s a closer look at the rewards and token requirements:

  • 81+ OVR x25 pack – 2 tokens
  • 82+ OVR x25 pack – 3 tokens
  • 83+ OVR x25 pack – 5 tokens
  • 91 Moments Deco – 6 tokens
  • Base Icon Pack – 7 tokens
  • Mid Icon Pack – 8 tokens
  • 89 OVR Ashley Cole – 9 tokens
  • Mid or Prime Icon Pack – 10 tokens
  • 91 OVR Moments Marc Overmars – 11 tokens
  • Prime Icon Pack – 12 tokens
  • 89 OVR Laurent Blanc – 13 tokens
  • 91+ Prime Icon Pack – 14 tokens
  • 87 OVR Emilio Butragueno – 15 tokens
  • Prime or Moments Icon Pack – 16 tokens
  • Prime Moments Roberto Baggio – 17 tokens

There’s a ton of stuff you can win by completing the Icon Swaps 2 objectives. Some challenges are time-consuming and outright boring (I’m looking at you Squad Battles challenges), but I reckon the rewards are worth the hassle. The higher you go (the longer you can hold onto your tokens), the more you’ll enjoy the fruit of your labor!

Winter Refresh

We aren’t done yet, boys and girls! FIFA 21 Season 4 is likely to bring forth winter refresh cards, too. We still don’t know the exact date, but with the winter transfer season all done and dusted, we can expect the winter refresh event to come shortly after Future Stars. That means roughly a few more weeks worth of waiting, I guess.

Flashback Kroos

This one didn’t come with Season 4, but it’s still worth mentioning because it’s a great all-around card for everyone with either La Liga or German squads. Toni Kroos 93 OVR Flashback card can be obtained via Squad Building Challenges.

According to FUTBIN SBC Solutions, it takes around 350k coins to finish all three challenges to get the 93 OVR Flashback Kroos. Of course, you’ll also get three packs which might bring you one or two high-quality fodders for the next challenge. They are as follows:

  • Prime Mixed Players Pack
  • Prime Electrum Players Pack
  • Premium Gold Players Pack

Once again, this card didn’t arrive with the Season 4 update. It was just announced, but I reckon it’s worth pointing out because of its relevance.

Summary

FIFA 21 Season 4 has been live for almost two weeks now. If you’re playing FIFA a lot, you must be at least lvl 10 by now. If not, there’s still plenty of time to reach 30 and get that sweet Storyline Player reward.

As we’ve expected, FIFA 21 Season 4 has brought forth a lot of new things. FGS squad building challenges, Icon Swaps 2, new objectives, and rewards, to name a few. We’re expecting winter refresh cards, too, though we don’t know the exact release date yet.

All in all, it’s going to be a great season! We can all collectively go back to FUT Live Friendling grinding, I guess.
